I have a weight problem too.. so I'm not saying I'll be of much help.. but there was a time when I lost a lot of weight.. my motivation was that I got sick.. my period was always late.. would skip months without coming.. i found out that this has to do with the weight problem.. and that if I keep going like this it will negatively affect my sex life and some day even affect the possibility of me becoming a mum.. it was one hell of a motive.. so google this and get more facts straight.. being scared of getting more sick will obviously help

When is your sisters wedding? Unless it's towards the end of summer then I'm not sure how you could healthily lose 40 pounds. There are a few quick fixes I know of that have worked for me, but the immediate weight you lose is always water.
At 40 lbs overweight it's very likely the first 5 or so lbs will come off quickly and easily. Then it will go at a consistent rate of about 1-2 lbs per week until you get down to within 10-15 lbs of your goal, then that last bit will be agonizingly slow. There's no real trick to speed it up, none that is healthy anyway.

You can start by eating healthy. You're only 13 and that means you probably still have a fast metabolism
Try one of those apps that count your calories. It worked for me. And also do some daily sport : I use an app called "workout trainer" from skimble and I looove it! It's fun, easy to use and I aim to workout every day a little. I hope that helps :-)
Start by cutting out junk food and fizzy drinks. Then increase your exercise either by walking or going to the gym. You could also lose weight by doing workouts from YouTube.
