How much should I curl?

Don't worry too much about the barbell curl. Most people (myself included) when they start off weight training start with the curl, working their beach muscles. That's the wrong way to go about it. You should train the whole body, and there are better, more important lifts than the curl. Make sure to learn the big 3 - bench press, squat and deadlift, and also add in the overhead press and chin ups. Those will build you a more balanced physique. If you want to measure your strength barbell curls aren't the right exercise either, you only use curls to pump up your biceps - better strength measuring exercises are the deadlifts, squats, bench press and overhead press, also maybe weight chins.
yeah yeah I know, I do all that stuff as well (I am a gymnast) I just want to focus on my arms at the moment
Cool, well to build size just pick a weight that you can handle for 4 sets of 10. Doesn't really matter what weight it is, at your age I only used 15kg dumbbells and got big pretty quick.
dam, my weight set only goes up in tens so I got 10k
witch is really easy for me, or 20k witch is a bit too much
It's not about weight but repetitions. If you can't do more than 10 reps at a weight its too heavy move down in weight and when you can do 20 reps and feel the burn it mean your muscle is working. Also its important to rest dont over do it don't just focus on lifting work your full body.
