Does eating too much oysters make you sick?

I usually order 6 oysters a day for lunch. One time I had 12 oysters in a 6 minute period and I felt sick for about 45 minutes after eating the oysters. It made me think that maybe I can't tolerate them in largue quantities. I was going to an oyster restaurant when the weather gets warmer but after feeling sick from eating 12 in one siting I am thinking of going somewhere else instead. Maybe a sea food restaurant or a steak house or a korean barbecue instead.

Oysters give a large chance for food poisoning. Some people need to stop eating them since they're too vulnerable to infection by a contaminated oyster.
And as you may know they're also strictly prohibited for pregnant ladies, exactly for that reason!

Really dependa, eating to much of something make you sick, especially shell fish (Clams, Oysters, Quahogs...) make you uneasy, just try to eat less, you'll be ok.

You probably had bad oysters if they were raw. A good alternative is Oysters Rockefeller. NEVER EVER eat Raw oysters in months that DO NOT have R in them, You'll get very sick.

Everything too much makes you sick. It has nothing to do with oysters.
