Would you find someone beyond the BMI chart's "healthy weight" as unattractive?
I personally find most people are in the BMI's "over weight " category but don't look like it.
I don't think it matters that much, I think it's a good way to measure healthy weight range but I think being 10-20lbs over or under it isn't so bad because some people are naturally skinny and some people naturally hold a little extra weight.
I say that because I agree with you, I see some people who in the over weight category and I don't think they should be considered over weight and I also see girls who are a little smaller then their recommended weight and they don't look too skinny to me, people carry their weight differently.
The BMI isn't accurate at all. I know some people who would be considered overweight by the BMI chart but they definitely aren't. They are very muscular. There is more to finding out if someone is overweight than the BMI chart.
It's good to get a general idea of what's healthy and what is not. The most important thing is to look at how much you weigh compared to your height and what your body fat percentage is. If both are healthy, then you healthy. In before someone gives me one example of it not being true as if it's the average situation.
Pretty much this. I'm a weight lifter and my BMI almost has me at obese being 6'3" and 230 lbs but I am 16% bodyfat which is considered healthy. So muscle mass plays a role also. Something that may soon replace BMI is something called the BVI or Body Volume Index which takes muscle into consideration.
It's good for the average person, but not as good if you train because it doesn't account for muscle mass e. g. my BMI is 28.5 which makes me overweight, yet I'm at about 12% body fat which is "athletic".

Its an indication. What matters more is your muscle/fat ratio. A very athletic muscular girl with a BMI of 26 can be healthy, while a skinny girl who does not sport with a BMI of 21 can be unhealthy.
It works unless you have a lot of muscle.
Most people don't.
Weight measurement is more useful for determining health/fat level.
I think it's bull. I just had a physical and I'm perfectly healthy just underweight. I dont think a chart should say if u are healthy or not. Every body is different
Along with not accounting for muscle mass and body structure the BMI is often more wrong than right
My height makes me anorexic.
My BMI literally says I'm anorexic love?
