I'm not an expert but I think it's better to have a whey protein with a simple sugar with minimal fiber. The reason for that is because fiber makes digesting the protein slower and a simple sugar is good because if the body doesn't have enough sugar it will use the protein as one instead of as turning to muscle. The point of taking protein in that way is to replenish the new muscle growth which I don't think is happening with 40 minutes of cardio or really cardio in general. Again, I am not an expert but I'm pretty sure doing cardio with a regular healthy balanced diet with somewhat of an overall caloric deficit is better for weight loss. If you want you can add a little protein to a meal after running but I think it's unnecessary and not helping your goal. A lot of these companies will try to market their $4 protein drinks but like I said it's not really helping.

I bet you consumed more than you burned
You don't really need to intake a lot of protein when your not working on building muscle.
As a beginner it's best to first find out where you stand and what your able to do. Like if your able to run for 5 minutes straight and how fast your able to do it. How intense your able to do other types of workouts, how much your able to bench, squat, etc .

I see no strength training. The benefits of creatine laden pre workouts like C4 ONLY apply to high intensity workouts like strength training. Stop treating your basic cardio sessions like something high intensity. Workouts should be high intensity. And you need strength training.
It sounds healthy to me.
Lol not really no.
