I used to read fairly extensively about nutrition and diet. I was a vegetarian and into "health foods" for several years. I also had a small amount of formal education on nutrition.
The conclusion I came to long ago is that it's so complex you will never figure it out. Even the best experts seriously lack conclusive information. Everything I learned boils down to one thing: just eat right.
Keep it simple and don't try to micromanage your diet. Use common sense about things you already know. Ignore whatever the latest dietary fad is, whether it's about omegas, anti-oxidants, cholesterol, gluten or whatever. I've seen so many dietary fads come and go, many later turn out to not even be true.

You now that eating an apple is better than eating a cookie. So eat apples. You know you should eat fruits and veggies. You know to stay away from heavy sugars and excessive fats. You have all the most important information you need for a healthy diet.
When you shop for groceries, increase the amount of food you get in the produce section. That alone will improve your diet considerably. Don't try to micromanage it. That will drive you nuts and you'll never figure it out. Nobody knows what the perfect diet is.
To directly answer your question. No you do not need fish. That's assuming the rest of your diet is reasonable. Don't stress about your diet. The stress does more harm than good.
