I think you are better off not using drugs like that. But it's not a big deal unless you start abusing it. It's better to find ways to keep going without using anything. With coffee you are fooling your body. Your body gives you signals, and you are ignoring them and covering the symptom.
Having said all that, most people get by just fine drinking coffee. And a couple 6-oz cups isn't that much. But if you are using it to keep going, just be more careful you don't become too dependent.

As long as you take a break like on the weekends, you should be okay. If im driving my semi truck and its a long haul, ill drink like a full thermos which is 1 gallon worth of coffee.
The trick to negate caffeine crash is to add natural sugar. Brown sugar or molases to be exact. To avoid sugar crash (when you feel sleepy), you gotta eat slow digesting carbs or slow digesting food.
