I don't know if it's normal but it's certainly not uncommon. I'd imagine the attention makes you uncomfortable. perhaps you feel objectified and don't like it. perhaps you don't like people sort of basing their value of you on your appearance... I know that feeling and I too don't like it.
don't worry about the attention you get. you're doing a great thing for you personally by losing weight and being healthier. if you get more attention just take it as flattery and politely tell the people you aren't interested... but don't let the attention be a reason not to get healthy

I used to be heavy and lost the weight. It was startling to get more attention. I recommend you continue to lose weight and find constructive ways to cope with the attention. Life is mainly about overcoming fear. You can do it.

do it to be healthy, tune other people out.
I've been there. I was the dorky, goofy fat guy when I was big, and after I've lost weight, the same girls who used to be cool with me treat me completely differently. It sucks for two reasons: first, we aren't able to be as close anymore, and two, the change in their behaviors tells me that they mocked me when I was big.
Normal you don't like attention? Yes. Some people (myself included) just want to be left alone. That shouldn't put you off losing weight for the sake of your health. You've done an amazing job so far, don't stop now.
You just need time to learn how to respond and gain some confidence. Go for it!
It's good for your health. The attention comes naturally avoid all the fame.
