What was your worst injury?

I've got a lot of cuts but I think my worst injury would be when I burnt my leg up taking something out of the oven. I think it was a pot roast. The juice from it spilled down my right leg. The pain was actually pretty minimal tho, but looking back, I should've gone to the hospital for it because the aftermath was extreme. I use to have a picture of it. It was gross lol.

But what about you guys?

Not sure how to really rank anything, but I've broken my hand three times, once in football, once in a fight, and once punching a refrigerator, which I'll get into sometime if anyone asks a "dumbest things you've ever done" question, although, sadly, I don't think that would crack the top 5😂 I also have a few other owies from football. I detached the cartilage from the sternum on my bottom two ribs and bruised a bunch organs in the process... I still have a pretty significant dent, haha, it was misdiagnosed at first and then healed funny. Oh well😆 And then in one game a managed to tear my AC joint in my shoulder on the opening kickoff, which I didn't realize until I took my shoulder pads off after the game, and then got myself knocked all the way to Queer Street in 4th quarter when I was blocking for a punt and got doubled over, and the kid coming in from the edge jumped to try to block it, but kneed me in the head or the jaw or something. I don't remember all of it, but I came to and got up to run to the sideline, and I fell flat on my face, haha. I was seeing yellow moons, orange stars, pink hearts and green clovers😲🌙⭐️💞🍀 So I ended up with a bad shoulder and a concussion. Still had to go to work that night too. Least intimidating bouncer ever, all in a sling and with my eyes glazed over😂😂😂 Anyway, those all sucked pretty bad. I feel like an old person, just sitting here complaining about ailments, haha

Was running down a hill on concrete. The entire town was a deathtrap for bicyclists due to how vertical these hills were. I tripped, caught myself with my forearm.

Checked it afterwards, and the entire first layer of flesh was missing. Nothing but blood from my wrist to my elbow. Wasn't that bad, really, just skin deep.

Or, a burn from my hand. Stove was on (ring-type of burner) and I tripped, caught myself with my hand on the burner. I could hear it searing before I actually felt it, and looked to see what it was. I had several rings of second degree burns on my hand. Healed just fine.

All-in-all, pretty lucky considering how much of a klutz I am. No broken bones or lost limbs.

Cuts suck, especially paper cuts. Good 'ol hand sanitzer seems to find all of them when I wasn't even aware I had any! Burns also suck, I hope you are ok now!

But my worst injury was when I played soccer. It was towards the end of the season, and I was a starter. This other team was more aggressive than I was used to, so I already had a lot of bruising from being ribbed and shoved.

But then I fell awkwardly, broke the ankle bone, ripped the tendons in my right foot and shattered part of my heel. I remember it hurting a lot when I fell on it, but I blacked out from the pain. I had to be rushed to the hospital, since my foot was completely sideways.

I was told bed rest for 4 weeks was necessary before they could put the cast on for 6 weeks. The day I got the cast off, I had to wear heels for this beauty pageant (I didn't even want to do, but was nominated and won the vote to do it). I was in a lot of pain still, but just had to grin and bear it. Luckily I didn't do as well that day, so I got to leave early. I can't run any more, but at least it doesn't hurt and I can walk normally.

Oh, there were many :'D One pretty bad one was when I almost drowned during Kite-surfing on Guam. I also fell from a rock and my spine only missed this sharp stone by a few centimeters. You live dangerously if you love the danger...
The most recent & rather boring one was a splinter of a cactus in my finger which later caused a blood poisoning and led to me being in intensive care at the hospital ugh, that was only a few months ago actually.

Too many.. but one of em were when I went kayaking and almost drowned in this island in Malaysia. Fun and risk-worthy ahah 😅 then another one was when I went jungle trekking and fell down, hurt my back and thankfully nothing happened to my head. My head was just few cms away from this rock where I fell down to. Could've been worse.

One more was dislocating and broke my bones on my ankle. My wrists had been twisted too before, but that wasn't so much worse. Another one I can think of rn is when I went climbing to the really very steep hill and almost fell down, but instead of falling down, I twisted my ankle.

Not really something I'm proud of 😓 my mum will screw me up everytime I injured myself. :x

I'm kinda clumsy, I often get random bruises and I don't even remember how I got them. Plus I had been rather wild as a child. The worse things that happened to me were the following:
-The one I don't remember because I was less than three years old: I was standing on a chair, jumping up and down and holding a broomstick. I fell and all my top row of teeth broke, so the doctor had to stitch them back.
-The one that happened when I was 11: I was trying to balance on a fence in the playground and two boys were trying to make me loose my balance but I was too good at it. So one of them pushed me from behind my legs. I fell in a weird angle over my feet and fractured one of them. I had a cast and I also lost school for a month.

Phsically or mentally?

I got my worst injury when I was in high school as physically. While fighting in taekwando training, I fell down, my wrist left its hole and come on arm, while trying to make it out and put it in its hole with my teacher, we noticed there are some weirdos too :P Hahahaha we put wrist in its place, then put the smallest finger in its place. Then I started to vomit, we noticed there are some broken parts LOL we went to hospital and doctor said 4 different places broken also. I am a milker baby :D I love to milk, after 18 days everything was okay :)))))

As a mentally, I got my worst damage this summer; I couldn't pass the placement exam so I couldn't get my job... Studying again now for the next summer...

i chipped my front 2 teeth 2x. 1 falling on my face in a 4 legged race with a friend. the other time, i fell off my scooter going down hill doing a mini man. also fucked up my knee pretty bad and my elbow

broke my wrist jumping over hurdles in track practice. i knew i was gonna fall too. that was the funny part. also had a partially torn acl and lcl and bad patellas. and broke both my ankles in high school and i think i sprained my big toe.

broke my thumb in football. wasn't that bad. besides that, i was pretty fine considering i played wr and safety

separated my shoulder a few times in rugby. but it wasn't too bad since i popped it back in. also shattered my shin cause some douchebag kept stepping on it

Well so far, I would say my worst injury was cutting the tip of my finger. (Pinky to be exactly). I was cutting potatoes and the knife sled right through my finger. And my tip became like those shampoo caps you open and close loo
Had to get some stitches. It hurt so much after the anesthesia went off.

I got hit hard playing football in highschool and injured my jaw. I kinda never really got it treated though.. But when I went to the docs for an ear issue, he said the top part of my jaw bone eroded away. So now even to this day I have a slight popping sound when I open my mouth wide.

Ouch.
The most painful was a trio of cracked ribs.. or the displaced kneecap. But the worst in terms of lasting damage was a 'boxers fracture'.. that is a broken wrist, combined with a compound fracture of the bones inside the palm which connect to the ring and little finger. (combound means they are shattered and poking out of the skin). Still got some nasty scarring, decreased mobility in the little finger, and a weird boney lump.

When I was in 4th grade we did a class trip to a skating rink, some stupid girl sideswiped me, I fell and heard a very loud snapping sound. Teachers all told me to basically man up, they kept forcing me to walk on it which led to the blood-curdling sound of bones scraping that you can "hear" internally.

About two hours later my mother who is a nurse showed up and took me to the hospital. Spiral fracture of the fibula and a full-leg cast for 6 months.

i had my fingers on top of a hot electric stovetop when i was a little kid. the top of my index finger was so badly burned that the skin melted off and i could see the muscle tissue. it was a smooth pinkish red. had a band-aid on for weeks before the skin regenerated.

I was at a parade playing tag with my cousin, I chased her up a ramp and didn't notice the step on the other side, I fell and my right knee landed on a broken beer bottle that was standing up.

It sliced a L onto my knee and I was able to poke at the visible edge of the top of my knee cap.

It was neat but at around 5 years old it was quite scary to me.

Went to the ER and they put a shot of anesthetic in it, then they stitched me up.

I broke three bones in my foot at once. Jumped off a wall and landed wrong, apparently. Didn't even know anything was messed up til I tried to walk and realized I definitely couldn't walk on that foot.

I broke my left ankle playing basketball back in high school.

I jumped up for a rebound, and my foot came down on one of my buddy's feet; my ankle basically rolled the full ninety degrees. Instantaneous, overwhelming pain.

I think I've been pretty lucky in the injuries department with no serious cuts, bruises, broken bones, etc... However, that concussion I had has had lasting effects, so I'll go with that.

When I accidentally stabbed my wrist while cutting up cardboard boxes. It was a deep puncture wound. I couldn't feel my hand for about 2 weeks and now there is a scar there.
