How do I get him to notice me?

So, there is this guy who's the same age as me (16 this year), and he's in the same grade. I only have one class with him, and I've basically never spoken to him before. But the thing is, I kind of like him. He's really nice and sweet, but he seems kind of shy. I would really like to get him to notice me somehow, but I don't have the guts to say hi to him, or even smile at him.

My self-esteem isn't that high, as you're probably noticing. I guess look average, although I'm not sure what others think. I have dark blond hair to my shoulders, and blue/gray eyes. I'm around 5'7, and I'm not skinny. I do have some curves, but I'm not overweight. I play tennis, so It's not like I sit around all day doing nothing. But I'm too scared that if I talk to him, or even smile at him, he'll think I'm weird.

I really want him to notice me, but how do I do that? I'm not sure if I have the courage to go up to him and say hi or smile at him. What should I do?

Mmkay, this: "or even smile at him, he'll think I'm weird." isn't true. A smile shows YOU LIKE HIM. If you happen to catch eyes with him and smile your shy little omg-ilu-but-im-2-shy-2-say-it smile,it should send the signal that you like him. It should also be noted that a single smile is not going get your message across perfectly clearly, he's just as nervous and vary about love as you are, so you may need to send various signals several times before he catches on.

It might be scary, but if you really like him, and you'd like to be with him you're going have to take a leap and do something. It might scare the hell outta you, but that's the risk if you want to be with him. You also need to realize that if you're going to go out with him or be with him, there's going to be some talking involved at some point; looks and smiles can only say so much

Smiling when he sees you is good; if you get more courage, try sending signals with your body language if you're too afraid to talk. I don't mean flaunt your major mammaries and pose like a supermodel while you look at him (THAT would seem weird) but maybe you kinda subtly show that you're happy to see him when he's talking to or looking at you.

Just go with your intuition, your guts, have courage, and don't worry, if he's the nice guy you think he is, it should turn out all right.
