Why do I get so anxious sleeping alone but only when single?

I prefer my partner in my bed if in a relationship but sleep fine without them. But when I am single I get really anxious at night and can't sleep.

I think, because when you are with a guy, your mind gives you a sense some sort of attachment with him like a spell that surrounds you with love that gives you this feeling of protection by him in spirit, and when you break up with him, that special attachment is gone, and the feeling of protection is gone with it. This is based on how I think you are thinking.
