I'm trying to lose a bit of weight nothing too extreme just a little around my stomach, thighs and to tone up a bit. I've changed my diet and I'm currently doing a 50minute workout daily but my friends have been telling me that 50 minutes a day is too much and can be bad for you to exercise so much, is 50 minutes a day too much?
Time is not a good way to measure exercise. If you are trying to loose weight try to keep track of your heart rate. The idea is to find the right zone for you and stay in it. If you are just doing that 50 minutes is nothing. You should be able to do that for a few hours if you are fit enough.

No its not? Time doesn't matter, sets reps do. And you can't spot reduce
No thats fine, it really just depends, like if you're doing HIIT you can shorten it to 30 mins, but if you're doing something that doesn't burn as much calories as much as HIIT would it going to take you longer to burn the same amount.
