1) Make sure you are weighing yourself properly. E. g. water weight, food you've ate, crap you've yet to expel, can seriously mess up your measurements.
2) Any training schedule you will hardly notice ANY results until at least 3 weeks because your body needs to adjust.
3) Have a proper workout plan. For weight loss your only effective option is cardio. Running burns more than 4 times the calories of strength training. Cycling actually comes very close to running in calories burned. 1km of running = 70ish calories
4) Know how to workout. Letting the momentum carry your legs on a cycling machine with resistance set to 0 is not the same as REAL cycling. Same as doing some sort of pathetic half-jog half-walk for 30 seconds.
5) Your BMR lowers when you starve yourself so you burn less calories than usual everyday
6) May want to check if your diet is actually healthy and that your calorie count is correct. I'll take your word for it though.
7) 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories so yes it is not easy.00 Reply

+1 yWell it's a science that works 100% of the time, so you need to be honest with yourself with what's going on. But the top 3 mistakes are:
1. Overestimating physical activity, cardio, working out etc. And underestimating calorie intake.
2. Impatient, eating right and working out for a few weeks and expecting a year worth of results. It takes time to get sexy, just like it takes time to become fat.
3. Lack of self-education on nutrition. Most people don't know what glycemic index is or that "enriched" flour carbs are pure shit (pancakes, white pasta, pizza, breads, etc.) or that too much fruit or smoothies are shit too (fructose), I could go on and on. But you gotta read up!
Good luck!00 Reply
hmm... sometimes it's not so much the amount of calories as it is what combinations of food and at what point in the day. don't eat anything at least 2 hours before you go to sleep. make sure you're sleeping at a regular and healthy time. also, drink LOTS of water.
what kind of workout are you doing?00 Reply
+1 yYou could try joining a boxing class or Pilates something where the routine is constantly changing. Seems that your body might have gotten use to the same exercises. Make sure your not consuming a lot of sugar and sodium intake. You could always join a sports team as well and just eat healthy.

But if you want to cut down on any fat you need to increase your cardio output. Try to get 2 hours of mid-high level cardio in daily. Walk everywhere you reasonably can. Drop you're caloric intake replacing any fats with vegetables and other polysaccharides. Remember though, less calories doesn't equal healthier diet.

+1 yLosing weight by working out takes time.
And its all about diet. You want to lose, you need less carbs and good amount of protein. Less carbs means your body burns fat to provide energy.
You can try cardio to lose weight as its really effective. Try cycling, running, swimming. All of these are really effective to lose weight and tone body.10 ReplyWhat weight are you at now and what I your goal weight? By "eat healthy" what do you mean? Give us some typical examples of what you eat on a daily basis. And what kind of exercise do you do / how much?

Asker+1 yI'm 5'7 and 125, a typical day consists of eggs and gluten free toast with jam for breakfast, yogurt or sweet potato for lunch, and chicken breast with salad for dinner. I typically use the treadmill, do skipping, and light weights most days. I've been at this for at least two months
- +1 y
Ok nvm just saw you answer elsewhere that you're 125. You're under 18 which means you're still growing. You're turning into a woman. Most women don't weigh <120 lbs. Not healthy ones anyways (some women are naturally very thin but not most).
Your concern for your weight at your age and size concerns me. This is how eating disorders begin..
Asker+1 yI never had any eating disorders or body image issues this time last year when I was 112. I didn't start feeling bad about myself until now
- +1 y
Honey - you're growing up. You're never gonna be 112 again and that's ok!!! Seriously.
I was 115 in grade nine but by end of grade ten I was 120. End of high school about 125. Fast forward 10 years and I fluctuate between 130 and 135 and honestly think I look better now than I ever did as a teenager.
You've just got to get used to a new body.
Asker+1 yUgh honey... I'm not you. I'm my healthiest at 112, I have a small frame and that's the weight I look best at. Maybe you look good at 135, but you're not me. And if anything has encouraged me more to get back to my natural weight, it was that comment.
- +1 y
Sorry if that came across as patronizing - that's not what I intended. It's just that I was a teenage girl and I know what it was like going through all those changes. I thought I was fat at 115! And then I kept 'gaining' weight (in reality I was just growing and filling out into my adult body). It worries me to hear teenage girls talking like this. I even starved myself for a while in 9th and 10th grade because I was afraid I was getting fat. Please don't put that kind of pressure on yourself. I'm sure you look JUST FINE.
Eat healthy and exercise to keep your body fit and healthy... don't worry about the numbers on your scale. They mean nothing. Seriously.
Asker+1 yAlright, thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. Just insecure about a weight I've never been used to being.
+1 yI started drinking a gallon of water a day and that was my missing piece.
20 ReplyHow long have you been doing this for because if it's months then I'm stumped maybe not doing right excercises and enough cardio if anything your not having enough calories so could be genetic maybe I'm no expert so maybe ask doctor or something.

+1 yI would suggest to workout out for an 1 or 1.5hr. Reduce your calories. I basically ate a plant base diet and didn't eat that much carbs. I lost around 18 pounds. I do not eat 1700 calories.. that is healthy. I guess you are really big, but way less than that.
00 ReplyWhat are your weight/length stats post it in an update. The less you need to lose the more difficult /slower it gets.

Asker+1 yI'm 5'7 125 pounds. I have a small frame so I looked my best at 112. My stats are 36.5 - 27 - 37. It's weird because my waist is slim from the side but wide from straight on and it really bothers me because it never used to be like that.
Asker+1 yNo, I don't, I'm just thicker than I'd like to be. I feel happiest and my healthiest when I'm really thin, so I'm trying to get back to the weight I used to be.

Omg, I just left you my advice and realize you want to be 112! you are 5'7 and being that weight is underweight for your height! You are fine and those measurements are great.
Asker+1 y@missmeowmeow Lol well thank you but I honestly feel best at 112 - 115. I guess I have a small frame, and I also just like feeling thin. Not anorexic or anything, but on the thinner side.
+1 yCalories don't matter, what matters is what you ACTUALLY eat.
In terms of Food and Drink.
In terms of what it's consisted of.00 Reply- 501 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
+1 y1700 calories is a pretty fair amount of calories depending on how big you are. Caloric intake is MUCH more important in weight loss than exercise. Something everyone likes to pretend isn't true.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yYou might not need to lose any and your body is saying " no no no ", You might not be eating enough ( which can slow down weight loss as your metabolism get's messed up ) or you aren't tracking your calories properly.

+1 yDrop to 1000 calories a day, try 30 mins of cardio before your 30 min routine. Squats, situps, pushups, and drop the carbs.
10 Reply2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Well how long have you been working out and eating right? because it takes months to lose a lot of weight not days or weeks.

+1 yLosing weight slowly is better for your body. Half an hour isn't enough of work out to burn any fat. Also depends on what you are doing during the time.

Asker+1 yI usually eat about 1500 actually, but 1700 is my limit according to loseit. com. I'm 17 and 5'7 125 pounds
Asker+1 yI think so, I mean I avoid breads and don't drink pop or add sugar to my coffee/tea. I very rarely eat beef or pork, just chicken. Does that sound alright? I have felt that I've been working rather hard but I'm not sure it's been hard enough to stop progress
- +1 y
"a typical day consists of eggs and gluten free toast with jam for breakfast, yogurt or sweet potato for lunch, and chicken breast with salad for dinner." if you're only eating this in an entire day I'm confused on how you manage to reach 1500 calories or more. Make sure the yogurt you're eating is not sugary or fatty. The way you cook your food and the condiments you use count too. Obviously if you eat chicken that's great, but if you fry it then it's not so great, tho I think you already know that.
There's a chance you're building up some muscles, since you've been working out everyday. Remember that muscles weigh more than fat, so don't focus on your weight. Just keep doing this for a whole month and then check if you see any results. Taking pics every other week might help. Your weight -compared to your height- sounds right, you probably just need to tone up a little bit.
+1 yHow long have you been at this rigorous program?
Asker+1 yTwo months or more by now
- +1 y
1700 calories (probably slight reduction), light exercise (probably soft plateau), and 60 days.
Well first 30 is conditioning, next 30 is slight change, final 30 is usually major gains so I presume you need to increase your workout to 1 hour and eat 100 calories less. That would win you the prize.
Asker+1 yThank you very much, that was helpful
- +1 y
Nah, Consultant is the one you should thank; he knows stuff. He's got muscles. I saw them in his avatar.
Asker+1 yLol don't know who that is but I'll take your word for it

And that's all that matters.
easy: eat less
