Your Staph infection; the infection itself is caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Many healthy people carry these bacteria on their skin and in their noses without getting sick. But when the skin is punctured or broken, staph bacteria can enter the wound and cause infection, which can lead to other health problems. Your blister was probably the root cause of the infection and then it spread from there once it got infected, which turned into the rash under your arm. Such an infection can potentially leave scars and cause lasting harm to your health. Follow the directions of your doctor and in the future if you have a blister or rash, take care in keeping the area clean and use antiseptic ointments on the infected area, so long as your doctor does not approve. This is a serious bacteria and should be taken lightly. Keep your doctor informed if the infection gets worse of if you have something similar in the future, then you'll want to seek the advice of your family doctor on how best to treat the area so it doesn't get infected again.

I got it during my hospital stay after giving birth. I ended up with sepsis, 2 surgeries, IV antibiotics, and home healthcare nurses for a few weeks. It was a disaster lol
