Have you heard of the Right Cup?

Its a cup that apparently tricks your brain into thinking you're drinking sweet drinks, when it is just water. Aromatic fruit scents added during the manufacturing process trick the brain into thinking that plain water is the same flavour as the cup's scent, without actually adding anything to the water.

I'm unsure on what exactly is it in that tricks your brain but they like to stress it's FDA approved but the FDA also approves certain artificial coloring, like red #3, that are known to cause cancer. So take FDA approved things that with a grain of salt.

In theory I think it's great. Too many people either don't drink enough water or drink way too many sugary drinks and after awhile plain water can be boring. I'm not sure how it tastes. Its definitely intriguing and hoping it makes it to the market which from the looks of the funding website it will. Wbu gagers. Would you buy it? You may think at first it's fairly expensive for a 10 oz plastic cup but it may help you with becoming healthier but over the longhaul its probably more expensive to keep your 2 a day coke habit then to buy one of these. So there is a trade off with that.

Good idea but I actually prefer good quality water over those fruit-like-drinks anyways. The farthest I'd go would be infused water but even that gets boring after a while, unlike water, you can never have enough of it.

I drink over a gallon a day of water. It gets boring sometimes lol. I've never tried one of those water infusion things.

Lol well I maybe have one or two crystal lights a day which aren't healthy for you but I need some flavor haha. My cousin uses like the oils you can buy like prange and lime and put it in water it kinda tastes like infusion. that I would think.

Urgh why does everything have to be artificial these days? I mean what's the big deal of just buying a lemon or a cucumber, cutting it into pieces and putting it into the water to make actual infused water?

These essential oils are the new fad. Not sure if they are artificial or not. Like I know how to make vanilla I wonder if it's the same thing or not xD.

What do you mean "make vanilla"? Vanilla comes from a tropical plant and is essentially made by grinding down the plants seeds, whole fruit or pressing it to get the extract.

I doubt it actually works. If it tricks your brain into thinking water has flavor it's probably on par with making a pitcher of juice and using too much water and not enough flavoring

@redeyemindtricks I'm actually not a big fan of soda xD but I do like orange as well. Fanta Orange Zero is my newest craze. But even that I don't drink often maybe once a week. Plus diet sodas still isn't the real thing of water which this product is getting people to drink more of. Yes there has no control ed studies that prove that artificial sweetners are bad but diet soda has other chemicals and dyes that aren't the best in large quantities.

I don't know it's not on of the 19.99 infomercial things. Seems this has been in play since 2010. If it works and successful in a few years when the ostent is up some other company like Walmart might make their own and then everyone will have one haha. But we will see

It does for me and you but to some well a lot actually don't like it and prefer surgery drinks. This is trying to get those people away from that.

Hm I'm not sure about this cup though. Water has a very distinct smell based on its mineral profile which contributes to the taste.
