Boyfriend had food poisoning, is it safe to be with him?

My boyfriend got sick yesterday (Sunday) morning. He spent most of the day very sick and vomiting. Today, Monday, he's been feeling better. No stomach aches, just tired. He went to work and the gym and all and feels better. Is it safe to see him tomorrow? Is he contagious, should I be concerned about kissing him? I just don't want what he had.

You say that it was food poisoning and if that was the case then he wouldn't be contagious, you can't catch food poisoning. On the other hand, if he has had gastroenteritis caused by the likes of noro virus, which is a common winter vomiting bug, then he could be contagious for at least 48hrs after the vomiting stops.

Unless you have real reason to believe that it was food, because he'd eaten something very dodgy, then I'd wait a week or so before seeing him just to be on the safe side.

I never knew that food poisoning was contagious? You could been around him when he was sick but the flu is going around so just be careful , he could have the stomach flu unless your for sure he got food poisoning.

  He feels much better today. I think since it was only a one day bug and he ate some really underdone pancakes (the boy can't cook) the night before, it should be food poisoning. If it was the flu, he'd still be sick.

  Yeah under cooked pancakes , the batter could have eggs
  in it that could cause food poison also word of advice never
  eat raw cookie dough that is deadly to anyone this one woman
  suffered for years after the food poisoning from raw cookie dough.

Food poisoning is when you eat something that was undercooked. You only get it if you eat the food. As long as he brushed his teeth and then got a different toothbrush, go make out with that dude.

Food poisoning isn't contagious, but you may get sympathy sick, and think you have "food poisoning". Not to worry, that's all in your head and will go away once you have some alone time.

the only way to get food poisoning is from eating bad food, uncooked, spoiled food etc.

the only way you would get sick is if you ate the same food he ate...

Food poisoning isn't contagious the only way to actually get it is eat spoiled food so it's completely safe to be with someone or around someone who has it, you won't catch anything.

  That didn't answer my question but ok. AIDS is a long term disease. My boyfriend just had a some undercooked food Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning and puked a few times that day. He was fine today, a little tired and drained from being sick the day before.
