I went hiking out of the city with my family last weekend and a few days after we returned, my mom noticed a tick in her scalp. We took it out with a pair of tweezers and found out it was a tick indeed. She is currently on antibiotics to prevent the possibility of catching lyme's disease and/or rocky mountain spotted fever. Since the incident, I've been paranoid and freaking out over finding a tick bite on my body. Yesterday while doing a full body check, I found what looked like a small black mole, which is unusual to me so I decided to try picking it out with tweezers to make sure it wasn't actually a small black tick inside my skin, but I couldn't take anything out. I'm really not sure if it's just a mole on my skin or a tick under my skin. It wasn't red until I started squeezing it and attempting to pluck it out.. Does it look like a tick bite? I'm from Canada and the doctor's here don't know. Please help. I've been panicking over this for days
Its not. this nervous reaction to bugs can get extreme with some people so stop digging at your skin. You can cause an infection and it will bother the doctors if you keep digging at yourself. Ticks will try to borrow in your skin and an indication of a tick with lyme disease will leave a red rash around the bite that looks like a bulls eye.
