Can someone explain to me what is appealing about BBW?

I recently learnt this abbreviation on Instagram. I am a person who is opposed to being skinny stick and also being overweight. I like to take care of my body with healthy food and exercise; even though i do have a genetic enzyme disorder in my family history which causes obesity, and also diabetes. I am very self-conscious about my health. And I know from first hand experience that my ex roommate suffered from bulimia because of unrealistic gymnast expectations of her gymnastics coach.

I'm not putting any photos of women who call themselves BBW simply out of respect, and they don't deserve to be shown in this website without their permission. However, I check internet, some Instagram BBW models, some BBW sex workers. It simply disgusts me. It is as disgusting as skinny stick models who live on cigarettes and coffee. I do not understand what is attractive about these women. I am not shaming them as it is their own body and how they are going to use or treat is their problem. And just because i get disgusted with something due to my preferences and life style does not mean they should be shamed or they are wrong.

Yet some profiles I have seen are simply promoting unhealthy life style, and normalizing being obese (yes, not a bit of overweight because slightly overweight is normal, simply obese to the morbid level) with hashtags like #bellyappreciation #effyourbodystandards #ieatwhatiwant #iambeautiful #fatbabe

Like really, you are not thick, curvy or beautiful. There are overweight women who have curves, they are thick proportionately and beautifully. But these people who call themselves BBW are simply 5'3 or 5'5 with 300 pounds on themselves, and they are barely able to move, and their 5D cup boobs are not normal boobs but simply unhealthy fat found the breast as last place to be stored. But I see male comments under their photos like "Melt me" "Oh I wanna bury my face in your boobs." etc.

what is attractive about these women? Please enlighten me, guys.

I know everybody has preferences. I am wondering what the root cause of this preference is like what is appealing to you to prefer that. This is the question.

Ok, well that last part i gots a bone to pick with you. I dont really care if a guy finds 55+ bmi attractive not my problem. But my girlfriend went through a ruff life and is over weight i dont care that she is almost two of me cause at one point i was two of her now the people you speak of have under lying problems. My stats in 2008 5 foot 6 inches 330lbs 56 inch waist. Now 5 foot 5 inches 190lbs 32-33 inch waist. I had 1 inch of fat under my foot my problem was i accept everything people said about me and hid my feelings in a family sized bag of skittles 3 large pizzas and 4 gallons of soda a day i love my girlfriend and i understand cause i was in her shoes

I am not talking about people who have health problems. As I said, my family has a history of enzyme disorder which makes some members not able to break fat cells. I am also in the risk category and prone to be obese, but it is not by choice. And there may be other health conditions which cause people to be overweight without their intention. However, none of my family members goes out and supports being obese, Pay attention. I am not saying "fat or slightly overweight". I am talking about obese at morbid levels.

I am talking about over eating not health. Im talking 6000 calories per bite. Look at the picture that is me 2008 that day alone i ate 17lbs of food 42 full plates at a buffet i ended up having to pay three times and i was by myself.

I am sorry but in that sense, if one has no self-control over what s/he is eating and how much calorie s/he is taking, then being overweight when in fact he can be healthy by only indulging himself in bad food or a lot of calorie taking at once, once in awhile, it is not my problem that they are mocked by being fat. I find that it is their own problem if they allow words to get them down, and they bury themselves in food, then expect people to understand them. A normal person would be upset to be called fat (if he really is) and then take precautions against being even fatter by cutting calories and exercising. A normal person doesn't go out, eat too much, and show that to be sexy and body positive and does nto encourage people to normalize being overweight.

Ok it is not that easy and most of my issues came from being physically tortured as a kid that over eating self hating lonely kid was burned alive 7 times thrown in front of moving cars beat and tickled their is a lot more and i only lost the weight because i drowned my self in schnapps for 3 years till i scared up my stomach and lungs now i dont have a choice in what i eat nothing is easy and many people have pasts that show in their body's (for me looks dont matter but most loving kind people look like i use to NO ONE should be ashamed how they look)

I saw a post that said it is a fetish and one that said it's not a fetish. I feel it's a little bit of both. I think most of us men like to see the curves and cleavage of a woman on tight clothes and while skinnier women can wear tight clothes, they mostly only wear it when they are going out or are getting sexy at night. A BBW doesn't have to try as hard cause most clothes will show her curves, no matter what she is wearing and our eyes wander.
