First of all, you have to realize that there is no such thing as spot reduction. Your body packs on fat in different areas and there's nothing you can do about those areas except to continue burning more calories per day than you are taking in.
There are lots of exercises you can do to strengthen your core. The plank being one of them. I don't feel like trying to explain here so I advise you to take a yoga or pilates class. :)

Congrats on the weight loss. You'll need to keep losing weight before you see some definition in your stomach but what I find helps is doing crunches, sit-ups, and ab exercises like these- link
It depends on what you want, are you looking for tone and definition? sit ups will tighten the stomach muscles but they won't show unless you change your diet, to get tone you need to cut down a lot on carbs and fat and have more protein, excercise tightens and diet gives tone and definition. I would seek advice from your local gym
Run.
Run every day, starting out as little as half a mile if you have to but increasing the distance every week. It helps you a lot more than just working out.
