Is being called,"One of the guys" good?

Okay,so, I refuse to hang out with girls that live in my town because they're all major douches whom I have nothing in common with. They listen to bubblegum pop, I listen to metal. They go shopping, I play guitar. They play sports, I refuse. etc. etc. But I get called one of the guys by my friends, but I also get called hot, indirectly and directly by them too, but does this mean I'm,"undate-able" to the guys who refer to me as," The coolest chick they know" ?

Yes and no. They call you hot, which means you're date-able. However, if one of them does date you, that will change the group dynamic (and even more so if you two break up), and they don't want that.

So right now, they're torn. How do they date you without risking what they currently have? It's a catch-22.

The only way I can see to break it is for you to make a move. Most, if not all of them probably would like to date you, so they have the added conundrum of deciding which one of them makes a move on you and how to deal with any resentment from the others, hence my recommending that you make the move. The problem is that you face the same issue that they do; do you want to risk what you have for the possibility of more?

it means they don't see you as someone who is girlfriend material. you're just another guy to them
