It's going to depend on the gym you to go. Barbell glute bridge is a great accessory exercise, but sadly it's being labeled as a women's-only exercise by the majority, just because people mostly see women doing the exercise at most commercial gyms. So, people look at guys doing the exercise and think they're gay or whatever. I get weird looks when I do glute bridge at my gym too. But If you go to a gym specialized for powerlifting and olympic weight lifting, you'll actually see quite a lot of men doing glute bridge as accessory like normal.

Whatever. :-D Strong glutes have a very immediate functional purpose that helps a man as I see it. Thigh abduction/abductor might command more weird looks:
But you know, whatever. If people think you're weird, they're probably weirder if they think guys should avoid work on glutes.
There are a lot of non-gym goers on here giving stupid advice. Glute bridges are a great exercise that works your hamstrings, lower back and abs. It can be a great exercise to help loosen tight hamstrings which will help with squats and deadlifts. Contrary to what other users have said, it will actually help reduce lower back pain rather than cause damage to your back. Back pain often occurs from improper form on squats and deadlifts rather than glute bridges.
It's a dumb exercise. When are you ever going to need to lift anything in that position. Sure it'll work the glutes but in a pointless way

Nah, but it's not exactly someone you see everyday, at least not when I go.
Just make sure you use padding on the bar or something.
For me, I find it to be safer than squats.doing that isn't good. that would do harm to your back.
I'm doing this recently aswell. Great excercise and would't care what people think of it
It doesn't look weird to me
