Is it normal to want to disappear from social media from time to time?

Absolutely! Not only that but it's quite healthy to do so from time to time.

I took a break from fb: I went from checking it daily, to now every few months... if that.
I realize you're really not missing that much and it's such a breath of fresh air not stressing over nonsense, gossip, and drama happening to others, or being involved in it.

Yeah its normal you can leave SM and relax your mind I once went crazy about it and had to leave it now I just come and go take all the time you need

Some people are either addicted to, and/or too emotionally invested into... social media.

A purge for even a few days can reset your mind.

This is the only social media I use, and I've been using it less lately.

It's not so much been a conscious 'want', as having other things going on in life, and not having the time for it. It's something I use when I need a quick 'downtime' at work, really.

Best thing is to never start. Take me this the closest thing I have done close to it.

I never had MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, instant gram, or anything.

And if you look deep enough you'll have a hard time to trying to find any real me online

Yes Honey Social Media can be horrible at times
i am on GAG for like 12 hours a day so shame but
the Internet is my life i love YouTube and all my

Social media isn't healthy to begin with. ODing on an addiction and wanting to clean up when you hit rock bottom followed by relapse is pretty common.
