Can being a male masseuse make me unsensational in the long run?

I was just reading how being a male massage therapist does have its fair advantage, they say that because we men have bigger and stronger hands we have a major advantage at giving patients stronger nerve penetrating massages that can help our patients recover faster. and because there are not a lot of male massage therapist out there is less competitions.

till then I remember being told a lot by my family a lot growing up that I should become a massuse when I grow up. I used to massage my aunts and my cousins a lot but I was always scared because I was always afraid that most of my customers were probably gonna be gay dudes. logically speaking not a lot of women and straight men (thank God) would not allow a man to massage them.

but now I suddenly like giving this career a try but I'm kinda afraid what if my customers are all females wouldn't I become unsensational after a while from touching women everyday?

I had to read your question several times in order to understand what you are trying to convey. The difficulty comes in your use of
unsensational. I get the feeling that English is not your native tongue. Perhaps you live in a country dominated by Islam.

Anyways, I picked up on your fear of gay men. Not sure if it is because you are afraid they will come on to you and potentially turn you gay? In a profession such as yours it's very difficult to exclude the gay community because (1) it's discrimination (2) their money spends the same as a heterosexual client (3) you are missing out on a demographic that could potentially make or break your business. It's very hard to say you are only going to do body work on one particular client unless you were in business for yourself. Most masseurs don't have that luxury just starting out. They usually have to work for a business that employs a whole team of body work professionals. Also you are supposed to be a professional. Not sure if you are afraid someone is going to ask you for a sexual favor? Here in the US, it is illegal to perform such acts. Whereas, overseas in other countries it's widely accepted as normal practice. I am trying to figure out if you are worried about being demasculinized by working with all female clientele. There are quite a few things you need to consider before deciding put yourself through extra schooling.

I do agree with you about males masseurs having the advantage over female practitioners. In fact I prefer male chiropractors, physical therapists and masseurs for that reason. I have a rare genetic connective tissue disease (EDS) that causes my joints and ligaments to very loose. My joints sublax and dislocate and I have to use chiropractors and physical therapists to use some strength and muscle to get put back into place.

till then yeah you got one thing correct and that is that English is not my first language. I live in America and been living here for 31 years, my profile says it loud enough. and yeah another thing you got correct is that I dont want gay men asking me for sexual favors because yeah it might be illegal in America but trust me you can still get away with it if you play your cards right. I go to a few of my local spas every now and then and get the happy ending yet my criminal record is still clean

I know but professional or not you are still touching them or should I say doing a little more than just touching. I dont want to get to a point that I touch so many women during the day that at night when I come home I will never be in the mood to touch my girl

My mother was good at massages and taught me, so I've had other family-members telling me that I could become a professional, but have yet to pursue the formal training & profession.

From my training in business-management, I'd think you can conquer this. No matter the product/service, trust is the real thing you're selling. (If you lose that trust & your trust-based reputation, all is lost. So, guard them well.) If you can get even some female-customers, earn their trust, and keep it, you can probably get more in due time. If you get more female-customers by word-of-mouth, all the more should you earn their trust, as to not make your trusting customer who recommended you not lose credibility.

that sounds pretty easy. but I bet hitting the gym and getting in shape developing a body like Vin Diesel would get you that trust instantly as well.

lets not forget that giving it all at the gym can make help make your grip even stronger, possibly putting them on a trance when you squeeze their fatigued up muscles
