Try going to the doctor and getting a melatonin script, I think it's the hormone that makes you sleepy, naturally prepares you to rest, try taking it 9 hours before you have to wake for work, it's a good way to get your body clock back into action, particularly if you have late nights on the weekend.

This is not a sleeping suggestion but I try to have half an hour or more where I close my eyes and try to drain my brain of the busy thoughts that it has not had time to process and I make sure to hydrate after meditation cause it makes me thirsty to detox my mind like that. It might help me sleep, but it definitely helps me be healthier. I also heard, to avoid electronics before bed time, cause the lights keep you awake, and make sure your hydrated cause thirst makes it harder to sleep, I also believe lions mane mushroom might help, not sure if itâs addictive so I only use it for emergencies. Itâs a supplement you can get on Amazon and works better then sleeping pills.
I've used melatonin but a low dose. High dose leaves me groggy the next day. If I'm not using that it's some chamomile tea and some lavender incense
Never had a problem getting to sleep at anytime of day if I am tired. I can even drink a can of Red Bull beforehand.
