Why yoga and pilates are far more practiced by women than men?

I would guess for the same reason women go more for the cardio machines or if they do lift weights, they tend to focus on their butts. Maybe they just want to be able to get their legs pushed behind their head during sex.. which isn't usually a goal a man would have in mind. lolz

I've tried yoga at home, and I respect it (it can actually be difficult), but I prefer my weight cage and lifting for hypertrophy.

I perceive yoga and pilates as exercises to gain flexibility with muscles stability and muscle endurance.

And most men that exercise could be going after muscle mass instead of endurance? Though it is my point of view outside of the hard exercise community.

I find Pilates builds muscle in women while men prefer a more difficult work out.

Women work less than men have more spare time to do these things, and are more interested in keeping in shape to attract men.
