If you know for a fact when you ovulated the test is more than 99% accurate 14-15 days after ovulation and that percentage gets even higher the more days past ovulation you get. To get a negative beyond that point and still be pregnant is possible but very rare. There have been a few cases where the woman never got a positive pregnancy test throughout her entire pregnancy. But again, incredibly rare and highly unlikely. However, you don’t know for sure when or if you ovulated unless you tracked it with blood tests and ultrasounds. Even if you usually have a regular period and ovulation or got signs of ovulation/positive ovulation test you still can’t know for sure because you can have signs before, during and after ovulation. You can also have signs but then not ovulate. Same with positive ovulation test, you can get a positive test but not actually ovulate. The test just show the body is getting ready to try to ovulate in the next 12-48 hours but it may fail to do so and no ovulation occur. If that’s the case the body will often try again a few days or week later. So you may think you ovulated a certain day and that your period is late but it really isn’t because ovulation happened later than you think, and when ovulation is late the period is ”late” to as you normally have the same amount of days after ovulation until the next cycle. So even if you have an irregular period of say 29 days one month, 41 days one month, 36 days another month you have the same amount of days from ovulation until next period. Common is 14 days (but 12-16 can be normal, it varied from woman to woman). Then ovulation happens on day cycle day 15 the 29 day long cycle (29-14=15), cycle day 27 during the 41 day cycle (41-14=27) and on day 22 during the 36 day cycle. So even if the same woman have cycles that vary in length ovulation happens the same amount of days before that womans periods. If you have regular cycles it can still happen, and is normal as long as it only happens a couple of times a year or less, thar you just don’t ovulate (often causing delayed period) or ovulation is delayed also causing ”delayed” period (if you normally have a 28 day cycle and pvulate on day 14 and ovulation is delayed until day 17 your period isn’t really late when it doesn’t show up on day 28 or even days 29 or 30. Only if you pass day 31 that cycle without it starting is your period actually late (17+14=31) so you may think it’s late as it usually arrives day 28 but it’s actually right on time at day 31 (because ovulation was at day 17 this time instead of day 14).

Yes. If you take the test too early. Make sure you follow the instructions that come with the test.
Yes, it is possible. Getting a negative result doesn't mean you're not pregnant, it may just mean your hCG levels are not high enough for the test to detect the hormone in your urine.
