So I frequent a gym that is 95% male 5% female (typical) and in between sets I stare at myself in the mirror, different angles etc. it might seem cocky but I have high anxiety and I feel it’s the only way to calm it, by putting myself in self absorption mode that nobody around me exists. I don’t really care to stop doing it I just am curious what other people around me think, also I noticed that when I do this people tend to not work out near me or ask permission to work out right next to me. I know everyone stares at themselves in the gym mirror but I literally do it in the most vain way possible I feel. If you saw a girl doing this, what would you think?
As it relates to women staring at themselves in the gym, I see no issue with it. Perhaps, this is a character flaw but I find it to be a turn-on. One should enjoy their work and improvements and I have not yet seen a level of grossness as it relates to this subject. It is an authorized vanity moment to me. And walking by a mirror at H&M or wherever and stopping to look and admire is fine too.
I much rather have good vibes around me than any other option.

What Guys Said
I've worked out with many people, men and women, who stare at themselves in the mirror both during and between lifts and it doesn't phase me.
I don't mind. I think it's normal and they just want to see how their body looks as they work out and take shape
