You should get the book "The 17 Day Diet", by Dr. Mike Moreno. I've went from 212lbs to 183lbs. I've been mostly muscle anyhow, but it trimmed me down and my waist went from a 38-40 to a 34 or so. It didn't even feel like a diet. What it does it makes your portions a little smaller but more frequent and lowers how much carbs and fats you consume and focuses on proteins and low sugar fruits/veggies. But you still eat a lot and in the book it gives whole meal plans for the whole 17 day periods. There are 4 different levels each 17 days in length. There are also great recipes to follow in the back. It was easy to follow because it maps out what you should eat each day and gives you portions/measurements and how to prepare the meals, so you don't have to think about it, just buy what is on the list and make your meals as per the plan. My wife was on it as well and she lost about 25lbs. Her mom was on it and she had high blood pressure before going on it. Now she doesn't even take the blood pressure pills anymore. She was getting sick from taking the pills during the diet because her body didn't need them anymore. It's great! just look it up on the net.

I usually eat 5 small meals a day. They range from extremely healthy to death. By eating 5 small meals, you keep your metabolism up and going. Also, it stops you from feeling hungry, and at the same time, discourages you from overeating.
I also play lots of tennis and lift weights. I'll mix in other sports once in a while too so it doesn't get boring. (I'm pretty active)
My most helpful tip (to me): Make your own smoothies. I've got the weirdest cravings that lots of smoothie shops don't have so it satisfies me, and I can keep myself honest by not adding sugar or other fattening additives like some stores do. It tastes great, is cheaper, and keeps you full. If you want to sweeten it, add fat free yogurt or juice. Also, it's fun!... to me at least
1) reduce sugar by as much as you can (aim for less than 30g of sugar a day)
2) cut out simple carbohydrates
3) carbohydrates you do have should come from whole wheat/whole grain/multigrain
3) maximize your protein intake
4) drink lots of water
5) the four main food groups you hardly ever go wrong with
6) reduce your portion sizes, figure out how many calories you should be consuming a day based on your height and weight and age (they have calculators for that- you can google it)
7)dont eat fast food because they raise your cholesterol levels a lot and have a lot of trans fat (even a mcdonalds salad with the dressing has the same number of calories as a big mac!)
tim hortons? small ice cap (800 calories) be aware of what you're putting in your body
8) you need to work out as well to help lose the weight. lots of cardio (jogging/dancing/skipping etc) os very good to help you lose the weight.
9) don't skip meals- it slows your metabolism which makes it harder to lose the weight
10) eat big breakfasts- helps to curb cravings throughout the day

fast fast fast, women always wanna lose weight fast.
if you need a good diet, try this. eat plants an animals. if its not meat or not veggies don't eat it. don't drink anything except milk, tea, or water.
once you have your diet in order start lifting weights, heavy weights not the pink dumbbells in the corner. if you're doing cross country that will take care of your cardio, remember to eat a lot more on the days you do A LOT of runningTell me what you weigh before I give hardcore diet advice
