How much weight can I lose in 3 months?

I've put on like 40ibs in the last 6 months, I've gotten so lazy and my sister's wedding is in 3 months. Is it possible to lose most of this and what's the best way?

You can easily lose 40 lbs just going vegan thats without exercise.
something you can do almost effortlessly, walk about 8,600 steps 3 times a week for the first month, and just don't eat meat and dairy.
In the first month alone you should lose no less than 15lbs.
At that point you only need walk 8,600 steps second month 4 times a week,
and for 3rd month 8,600 steps 5 days a week, the walk should take alittle over an hour,
This way you dont have to worry, its already been proven, Imagine you will lose around 60lbs in 3 monthes

This is highly optimistic. I went vegan and gained weight lol and I walked for at least 30 minutes every day not counting indoors.

This is scientifically proven, the walking alone will do the job, if you were doing the vegan thing right you should puld have been eating most whole plants, nobody gains weight on whole plant foods...

The best way is to create a caloric deficit. The first step is to stop eating like shit. Your diet is waaaaaaaay more important in weight loss than exercise.

Answer me this: is it easier to save money... or make more money?

Anyone can save. Skip the Starbucks. Don’t eat out. Use coupons etc. But making more money? Put in more hours or ask for a raise.

Which is easier: to not eat ice cream... or to go run on a treadmill for 45 minutes? Because that’s a bowl of ice cream. Maybe.

Not that this is healthy but I have lost to date 14 pounds (6kg) in a week so far.. no drugs , no starving and no exercise- my body does not like stress. What ever you do just do it properly- something you maintain and are eating with healthy stuff in mind is best- ohh geezuz and please don’t forget the water it helps

Defo, you are young I did it once in 3 months lost 30 pounds just walking for an hour or 2 everyday and I still ate whatever I wanted..

I think the rule of thumb is something like not more than 2lbs a week, if you are going to be losing more than this then you should be doing so under the supervision of a doctor.

Just don't do anything stupid like starving yourself etc, you are beautiful just as you are and its not cool to upstage the bride ;)

Oh you can definitely lose that 40 pounds I'd you your really serious about diet and exercise... just cut the carbs portion out your meals get your cardio in daily and incorporate more fruits and veggies in your diet if you need any more help hit me up

That depends on what was your previous weight and also what you're willing to give up in order to lose weight.

However anything more than 3-4lbs per month isn't recommended especially for a girl as you might develop loose skin.

No sorry this is all wrong if she's only got 40lbs she's not going to get loose skin lol and she can definitely lose more than 3 4 pounds a month she's going to probably lose like 5 6 pounds of water weight once she starts eating less and exercising and girls can actually lose more weight it's the guys who shouldn't lose a lot of weight since they need to keep their muscle mass don't know where your getting your facts...

I lost 40 pounds in 3 months in 2020. It’s doable. Just have a calorie deficit and consistent movement daily and water intake, you’ll shed pounds faster. Eat whole healthy foods.

With diet and exercise, probably 20 or 25 pounds in a healthy way. That's like 5 or 6 sacks of potatoes equivalent. It's a lot.

25 to 30. They say don't expect more than 2lbs. Per week. And that avg's to about 9lbs a month. But everyone's metabolism is different. Some take weight off quicker than others. But you can make significant gains in 3 months.

Do you want to lose it, or be healthy about it? As a former wrestler, I know how to lose weight. It's not exactly healthy, but it's the healthiest way to lose weight quickly.

@Momo2k actually basically you have a glass of water each day at most. Twice a week have a dinner of solely vegetables with a single glass of milk. You can also eat no more than one nutrition bar a day. That's how I lost 11% of my body weight when I was 17. I weighed 114 in October and was 103 in February.
