you have to burn all the calories that you eat and more in order to lose weight, so you won't be able to burn off fat as quickly, I guess you could still lose some though if you were just to diet but not as many as if you were to exercise regularly, try weight lifting that would help to shift some calories too or other upper body exercises
yeah but I really wouldn't suggest attempting it(not eating, so basically starving yourself)
but see what kinds of exercises you can do sitting
sit ups or, trunk twists maybe, or you can ask your doctor see what he suggests

Lifting, eating filling foods(so you don't have to snack), and drink a TON of water. Try to get some abdominal workouts in along with weight lifting. Weight lifting can be as simple as a 5-10 pound dumbbell just going up and down.
Might sound dumb, but tap your feet. Do anything that requires energy. Suck your stomach in and out, or randomly keep flexing parts of your body. While not much, it does burn calories and that's what you need at this point.
maybe, but your body will look flabby and your butt might turn into a pancake for sitting down too long
