I have a cough that does not go away for months, shortness of breath and phlegm. I have wheezing. Could this be due to smoking? What problems can happen if I don't quit smoking?
yes from smoking. it is generally reffered to as "smoker's cough" for what should be obvious reasons. you already may have the cough for life even if you never smoke again. possible c. o. p. d., emphezyma, decreases lung capacity for the rest of your life, more sinus issues, the prices on things for smoking keep increasing severely, smoking is getting a bit more of a stigma too.

Yes I used to smoke and vape until the point that when I breathed I felt my lungs stretching like a balloon, I also got bronchitis like 5 times and blood in my mucus, all these symptoms you mentioned I've had and it gets worse the more you smoke, I don't know if you've gotten the pressure in the chest yet but that also happens, I have quit smoking for over a year now and I'm still spitting out mucus that tastes like tabbacco and metal, the cleaning process is slow and I'm sure you know the results of not quiting.
Visit an immunologist, or allergy specialist, and tell them that you're having shortness of breath and phlegm, along with wheezing. It sounds like you have asthma. Smoking will add to the problems, but I'm pretty sure asthma is the problem. I'm not a doctor, but those three symptoms alone are asthma symptoms.
They will run some tests and will be able to give you some medications to help you breath better, like a rescue inhaler, a preventative inhaler to prevent breathing problems, and maybe even something to build your lungs.
I've had asthma since I was little, and I know it's not fun. Trust me!
It could be related to smoking. I suggest you speak to your doctor about it to be sure.
If you don't stop smoking there is a high risk of developing health problems.
This website has a lot of information:
women.smokefree.gov/.../smokings-impact-on-womenMy mom passed in 2003 due to Sarcoma cancer and all of her side of the family died due to cigarette smoking related cancer… You most likely got a smokers cough, etc. My opinion is wean yourself off smoking or see your doctor to help you quit, but do not take medications or wear nicotine patches and smoke because it is very dangerous.
Absolutely!! You didn't know that? If you continue, you'll get wrinkles and grey hair long before you would've and you might end up hobbling around pulling an oxygen tank behind you everywhere you go and eventually, you'll die, much younger than normal. Maybe you'll even have a lung removed.

Yeah, that's a joke but smoking isn't!Smoking will cause those symptoms.
You should see a doctor immediately.
Also, stop smoking immediately.Well, cancer probably. I don't know for those type of drugs but I’m not sure how any smoke is healthy for lungs. If that’s the cause smoke in a house going up in flames is ok.. it’s not meant to be there
Yes it is. If you're going to keep smoking ask your dr. For an albuterol inhaler or a nebulizer.
Yes possible with smoking. Please consult a physician and check
I am looking for tobacco instead of cigarettes, because tobacco has only nicotine and cigarettes contain hundreds of chemicals.
But it's best to let go if you canThose are also side effects of the COVID shot...
yup. you could die a slow death through the years.
Maybe you got tuberculosis. Or lung cancer.
