I think I might be pregnant. I ovulated 8 days ago (confirmed with a strip test and also with BBT [basal body temperature]) charting.
For the last few days I have had a plethora of symptoms, some that I wouldn’t get even if I was PMSing. My period is due in 5/6 days so I could theoretically be having PMS symptoms… but normally I’m a moody gal with no physical pain.
Ok so here are my symptoms:
- A couple of dizzy spells that lasted like a second (when moving my eyes to focus on my laptop, the world around me shifted)
- Weird nervous, butterfly feeling down in my lower abdomen
- Racing heart rate
- Cramps in lower abdomen that turned into stretching type feeling
- Bit of lower back ache
- Bloating and trapped wind
- Sore gum/canker sores in roof of mouth
- Dry lips
- Urge to pee and feeling like my bladder is full
- Tingling nipples/ sensitive left boob (right one is slightly affected but it’s mostly the left)
- Mood swings/ crying/ depressive thoughts
- Weird taste (need to confirm with more tasting experiments but yeah… had a weird taste in my mouth)
- Ever so slight car sick type feeling when I haven’t eaten
- Strong craving for garlic bread (made a focaccia with garlic butter, mozzarella and caramelised red onion and I almost cried it was so good, and I’d really craved it)
Ok that’s about it. It’s only today when the urge to pee started with the tingly boobs where I genuinely started wondering if I’m pregnant. And I’m not exaggerating, literally have felt all of this at one time or another in the last 2-3 days.
Has anyone else had such symptoms at only 8-9DPO?
I want to wait until my period is due to stop myself peering at pregnancy tests wondering if they’re positive or not. I did think that the urge to pee could be due to another health issue I had… but then again there have been way too many other symptoms!
Anyway has anyone else had so many symptoms at this point post-ovulation (8-9DPO)?

If they are pregnancy symptoms, typically none of those would occur until at least a couple months pregnant.. so I guess it depends on when your last period was? Sensitive boobs/painful boobs + boob growth is a common early pregnancy symptom. But the mood swings and the other symptoms aren’t typical if it’s early on.
But every woman is different, no pregnancy is the same. Some women get symptoms early on that aren’t typical until 6-7 months. So it’s really impossible to say. Only thing that you can do to confirm if it’s pregnancy symptoms is by doing a pregnancy test.

I don't think you're pregnant. You didn't mention how the smell of food makes you feel like you're going to throw up. I think that the garlic you mentioned would definitely be on the list of symptoms. My breast grew in about 10 days. My husband pointed it out to me.
My worst symptom was sense of smell. I would always carry around a fresh 🍋 lemon with so if I smelled something bad, I would put it up to my nose and squeeze a squeeze to take the bas smell away.
