This has been happening for years! And I’m so frustrated. Anytime I exercise, my belly looks bigger, and in a very bloated and unnatural way. I can’t wear pants without feeling and looking uncomfortable. The little belly fat I have tends to look 10x worse. When I don’t workout my stomach looks flatter. What on earth causes this? My daily diet is one that’s low in carbs, sugar and salt. I don’t consume carbonated beverages either, yet I look extremely bloated no matter what I eat.
Sometimes if I have an important event to go to, I don’t eat at all. I just drink black coffee. Cause I can’t afford to look bloated and my clothes can’t fit near my belly anymore. I’m totally frustrated. The doctors I visited aren’t any help either, they just said to continue doing what I’m doing and it should go away. But it’s been years!
Any advice will be helpful, thank you. Or if you experience this as well, what do you to fix it?

And I sip on Lemon water during the day. They said it’ll help but no luck here. I used to have warm lemon water first thing in the morning as well but also no results despite doing it every morning for almost 5 months.

So honestly, its probably more of your own imagination then, anything.
Read about calorie cycling... which is when basically you do low calorie diet and then ever third or fourth day you over carb on purpose as far as a cheat day, and then low carb it for a day or two. But more about getting all the right micronutrients, and not about high protein or low carbs, and you must make sure you are getting enough fat in your diet. Low fat diets do not work. Fats are essential, and you want to max your fat calories every day, and then cycle between high carb days and low carb days, with high protein days.
Never exercise more than 20 to 30 minutes at one time and, and research about circuit training or I think some people call it intensity training or HIIT High intensity interval training.
Bottom line if you mix excessive exercise with dieting it will send your body into shock, and it actually produce more fat as excess energy so it can call upon it when you it needs to for excess energy... so if you vary your dieting with high and low carbs, with protein and fats... with HIIT training it will naturally speed up your metabolism... they say if done right you can continue to burn calories for up to 48 hours after exercise, without any of it going to fat storage.
They also say to do HIIT on your cheat day after eating a high calorie meal, because your body will burn the calories already in your blood system without making more fat cells, and then when you cycle back through your calorie dieting on low carb days it will burn more fat and reduce fat cellular growth.
Are you on any medication for anything?
