I found the first 12 pounds came off easily but once I reached a certain stage, the weight kept bouncing back and then going back to that stage, then bouncing back again. I know this can be fixed but I'm surprised it happened.
I had a leg injury and gained 12kg in 10 months and started gaining more because it was taking time and effort for me to start walking and running, because my injury was that bad.
I was trying to lose weight and do intermittent and calorie count, but I felt I wasn't helping myself. So I knew I needed professional help as my situation was dire. i got a personal trainer to help me navigate myself with my body's condition and i also visited a nutritionist, by taking a blood test.
This helped me kick start. Personal trainer came 3 times a week & she gave me a program what to do on the remaining days. Nutritionist said 20 min walk each day is a must. They helped me and I was able to run after 3 months. After 3 months, I started working out independently on my own. I bought a bicycle and it was fun to ride a bike. So I cycled twice a day, 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening in my apartment carpark. I realised cycling got me drinking lots of water and my tummy got flatter and my upper body started taking shape & what I loved was that cycling was fun and it didn't feel like a workout. Maybe you can look for something thats fun.
But the good thing is that I lost 10kg in 1 year. And it was because of consistency. To help motivate for workouts you could join group workout classes once or twice a week, such as aerobics, yoga, pilates and so forth. Once a week for gym workouts to workout your muscles, everyday walking of at least 30 min.
Watch your food - intermittent would help kick start also. You could try with 12 hour fasting and eating nutritiously. Your 12 hour fasting after 2 or 3 month, you can increase to 14 hour fasting and see how it works.
But everyday exercise of some kind helps immensely as your body needs it.
Hope this helps!!

Losing weight requires discipline and should be spread over time. At first, you usually get fast results because you start with ambition, but after a while your ambition decreases and such a situation occurs. Calm down and respect this process.
I wouldn't say it's hard. But it can be tedious.
