Rotavirus, adenovirus, and astrovirus most often infect infants and young children, but they can also infect adults. Viruses may cause viral gastroenteritis any time of the year. In the United States, norovirus, rotavirus, and astrovirus are more likely to cause infections in the winter. My Sister has One now. I Never had anything but a 24 hour Stomach bug. This comes from Contaminated Foods or Water or Even Touching something Germy and then Going in your Mouth, Maybe even your Pet Licking your face or even not washing your hands after bathroom use, etc. xxooxxoo
Yes. Norovirus from my first taekwondo studio. Bloody awful. Found out two things... they only cleaned the place before testing (every three months- never went back after that) and hand sanitizer does not kill norovirus. So what I thought was right by soaking my hands and feet with hand sanitizer before leaving, effectively did nothing to this beast. Should have washed my hands in the bathroom after each class. It was like having severe food poisoning that took three weeks to stop. Also highly contagious. Warned everyone in the home would catch it. I separated myself (own bathroom and bed) and cleaned everything I touched throughout. Nobody caught it.

No, fortunately I've never had a gastroenteritis virus. 🙏🏾
Spent a week in the hospital with norovirus once. Sucked royally except all the offers to help me shower. I'm like I can stand and walk just fine, have no feelings of dizziness or weakness so that seems excessive, but thanks though.
Had some sort of 48-hour thing a few months ago. My body's built-in cleansing system took care of it.

Three weeks ago I had something like an infection, IT's symptoms were similar to a flu, but lasted only 1 full day. Still, I felt terrible, I couldn't even move and I slept the whole day.

I have had a few bad GI episodes after a meal at a restaurant but notng that required medical attention that would have resulted in a diagnosis.
No I haven't Paris, but I'm a bit OCD when it comes to washing hands etc.
The only thing I ever had even close to that was hand foot and mouth disease that I acquired from holding my nephew. Very rare to get as an adult but somehow I did.
Never heard of it but we are always prone to bacteria, I guess keeping it balanced with good bacteria is the key.
My first born as an infant had it and died from it because they didn’t know it at the time and didn’t treat it
I ended up in the hospital with food poisoning from bad ground beef.
No I haven't but my dad's friend got one when he went to South Africa about 10 years ago and still has it!
I had a parasitic infection of the gut, but I got something from the doctor that cleared it up. I love medicine!
Not sure. Have had a few stomach bugs; but never figured out if they were viral or bacterial infections.
I have had food poisoning a few times but it was usually around the holidays. It was horrible to be honest.
Is this like a tweet that earned you so much money you drank yourself sick?
Have a friend who many years ago, in the 80s, had some kinda gastro fungus stuff and it was nearly fatal. But I don't remember what they called it. He was in the hospital for a couple weeks. It took a couple months before he was back to normal.
We recently got sick as a family. The fever presented as a sore throat. Thank God we recovered. But we don't know if this is the virus we caught.
