Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNo no no I do not share drink. It f***ing grosses me out. Mouth germs really freak me out. I'm not really sure why I'm so freaked out by it but I just can't do it. Not even with my family... Well sometimes with my family. If they do drink something of mine then I'll wipe everything down afterwards... But for some odd reason I feel less grossed out trying a sip of something someone else is drinking.
Food on the other hand I don't really mind because I'll take a piece off of where they haven't bitten and I'll do the same for people that ask for a bite of my food. So food is less of an issue for me and even if the piece they offer me they bit off of I'll usually still try it. It seems less disgusting then sharing drinks.
-Random story-
This one girl I used to go to school with and have been friends with for like 4 years grabbed one of my drinks. It was like a to go drink from Wendy's or something like that. She asked for a drink and before I said no she grabbed it and drank it. I swear to god my eye twitched and I said you can f***ing have it then and walked away. I just rage quit our conversations and now I'm not really friends with her. Really has nothing to do with that but god that still annoys me.00 Reply

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yActually this has happened with me and the guy I like. He offered a sip, and I took it because I liked him. I figured what the heck, but I was surprised. I don't have guys offering their drinks, unless rarely I'm at a bar/club just to try it. But this time it felt different, I took it because I liked him. I wouldn't sip from other guy friends' drinks when they offer. I don't share drinks period, but for him I did because I'm attracted to him.
Do guys offer a sip to test the girl, or because they like her?04 Reply
Asker+1 yI just do it with a girl I like because I simply wanna create a little bit of a connection with her. and I wouldn't do it with a random girl in a club
Opinion Owner+1 yoh OK, so he does possibly like me then. is it true that guys think if the girl takes a sip then she'll prob sleep with him?
Asker+1 yNot he "possibly" likes you, he DOES like you. I mean I would never share a drink with an ugly girl, even if she was my friend. And I don't think in those terms of "she sipped my drink so now I'm sleeping with her", that's immature.
Opinion Owner+1 yoh OK cool :) thanks!
+1 yI share with close friends be it guy or girl.
Either way, I bat both ways but my sharing isn't due to liking them specifically.
I obviously wouldn't share with an unattractive guy ha ha and I'm sure most girls wouldn't.10 Reply
I highly dislike sharing drinks. I don't know where someone's mouth has been, nor what been in someone's mouth, and it's even worse when I do know. I am petrified of stds and would hate to get herpes or something from something as small as taking a sip from someone's drink. That being said, if I'm in a relationship with a girl that would be the only time I share drinks, since I'm kissing her anyway. If I do share, I usually ask them not to put their mouth all over it (like if it's a water bottle or something) because that guys grosses me out.

+1 yDepends on the person. A random stranger? No. A close friend I know doesn't have something or do some disgusting thing like smoking? Sure. A girlfriend? Absolutely (sharing fluids with a girlfriend is always fun :D :P). So ya... that's pretty much my thoughts on it.

I do mind,I find it very difficult to drink from the same container with someone my friends know that if they take a sip from my drink then it will be all theirs,at least am honest,I just can't.Being attracted to them wouldn't make any difference unless that person is my husband.I just wonder how guys do it,my guy friend can suck a lolipop which came straight from my mouth, finish my left over food, well I just can't do the same and he knows it.
00 Replyonly with close friends, family and my boyfriend. I usually don't share with strangers. YOu never know what kind of illnesses people have like mono or something so I also ask if they are ill.. I hope someone tells the truth so far sharing with people has never hurt me. knock on wood

+1 yI share but I have to have my own straw lol. If it's a bottle I wipe where the mouth goes, yes I'm one of those people. If I like the guy I'd still do the same because I have a problem with other people's germs, but say maybe I've already kissed him then it doesn't bother me as much. I'm weird.

+1 yMe and my guy friends share food and drinks all the time, I only share drinks with my fam and my guy I share food and drinks with. for my boyfriend I don't care I mean if I can suck his d*** I can share a drink with him or a bite of somenthing. My guy friends and I sometimes 'feed' one another like offer then a bite or two of what were eating.
00 ReplyI share... reluctantly. And then I find some sneaky way to get rid of my drink.

I don't mind as long as he is cold sore free and not some random guy I met right there.00 ReplyI share drinks with friends all the time. If however, the person that offered me a sip had the smell of a live skunk, or unbrushed reeking teeth, I would gladly refuse the offer.
10 ReplyI shared with plenty of greedy hungry bastards who never gave me anything.

Never with strangers. Ever. Happy to share with immediate family. OK with really close friends (those whose medical history I know ;p ) and of course, significant other.
00 ReplyIf I know them, I'm fine with it. No big deal, its just a drink. And my immune system is pretty good, so I'm not that worried.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yDoesn't mean I'm attracted to them, it just doesn't bother me (other than, maybe, complete strangers). Other people won't share drinks with their spouse. Don't read a bunch into little details, bro.
00 ReplyDepends who is that person. If they are strangers I don't think I would.

LOL! I know you better! So it all good! : )
I wouldn't. First of all, it's kinda gross, and second of all, if you don't know and trust the person then heaven only knows what it could be spiked with.
00 ReplyI don't like sharing drinks with anyone, including my family; even if the drink had individual straws, I still can't.
