How important is breakfast anyway?

For a long time I've been skipping breakfast and just not eating anything hardly at all in the morning. If anything it might be just a nutrition bar and that's all. I'm simply never hungry when I wake up. But I recently heard that it is in fact the most important meal of the day because it supplies you with mental energy throughout the day.

It sometimes takes me a while to get my mind in gear in the morning. And I focus better at night, after I've had lunch and dinner. I must have been missing an important meal, am I not?

Damn, looks like I've inhibited myself from being a much more productive person all these years.

It's just that I'm rarely rarely ever hungry in the morning. And since it generally isn't a good thing to eat when you're not hungry, I just assumed not eat at all. Eventually it became habitual.
