Do you prefer regular soda or sugarless soda?

Question

If you're diabetic or on a diet then I assume you would go with no sugar, for the rest of you, do you feel there is any real difference in taste?

For me personally it all kind of tastes the same, or at least they're very alike so I don't see the point in favoring one taste over another.

Neither, I avoid almost all sugar except fruit. I have had maybe only 5 sodas in the last year.

Sugarfree is worse because of aspartame, which is a poison. And it's not just sugar in soda that's bad, the high fructose corn syrup is even worse than sugar.

If I even drink coke, ill have the regular one which is more healthy then the other kinds. Soda with no sugar contains sweetners and cancer causing ingredients that are much worse for you. Besides I don't even notice much difference in flavour when I do have them.

I would rather drink water in general though or a fruit drink

When I used to drink soda, I would favor the sugarless. My belief is that I preferred it because that's what I was raised on. However, upon drinking the regular brands, I would find myself becoming nauseated from all of the sugar.

Nowadays, all I drink is water, though. So I guess my preference doesn't really matter anymore.

I absolutely HATE the sugarless stuff. I can really taste the aspartame, plus I've been told that it's kind of bad for you. I mean, even worse for you than regular sugar filled pop (I'm sorry, I just can't call it soda, haha)

I try not to drink it very often, but when I do indulge, I go FULL SUGAR! :-)

I hate diet/sugar-free sodas, lol. Big difference in taste for me, I can definitely taste the aspartame, and I don't like it. I'd rather have the sugar. Real sugar in soda tastes better than high fructose corn syrup sweetener in sodas, but HFCS tastes better than aspartame in soda, haha.

There is a very noticeable difference in taste. Granted, diet Dr Pepper and Coke Zero taste the closest to their original versions, but there is still a difference. (I don't drink Pepsi regularly, it's sweeter than I care for.) Coke Zero is a huge improvement over Diet Coke. I don't even know how people can willingly consume the diet sodas that are out there, they taste nothing like they're supposed to. So, yes, there is a difference between the regular and diet versions in taste.

i personally like diet. I think it tastes better than regular soda, in my opinion. but that only applies to dark soda (diet coke, pepsi, and dr. pepper) for white soda I rather have regular. but I prefer dark soda over white soda any day!

In general anything using artificial sweeteners has a hint of a bitter or chemical aftertaste I can detect that the version using real natural sweeteners doesn't have.  This doesn't just apply to soda but other things such as protein bars as well.

i don't really care whether or not it's sugarless

but I drink the sugarless ones since I need the caffeine free cola, which only comes sugarless

if I drink caffeine after like 2pm I'm up until the next day

I chose make no difference to me because some sodas I prefer the real thing others I don't. I don't drink much of any soda anyways. But most sodas I like regular but when it comes to Pepsi and Coke I like the diet more.

They both taste the same to me. I get kind of paranoid about regular coke dissolving my teeth, but I still drink it because I'd feel weird ordering diet coke (that way madness lies - next thing I know, I'd be drinking green tea!)

i'm weird but I genuinely prefer the taste of diet coke over regular coke.  but that's the only one, when it comes to root beer, sprite, ginger ale, etc.  I prefer the real thing.

When I do drink soda, I used to be all about diet. Then I realized that it gave me headaches.

Now, I'm all about regular soda these days. I just drink it in moderation. I treat it more like a sweet than a beverage.
