What are some exercises I can do aside from pushups?
I don't have access to a gym, so things that don't require large or expensive equipment.
Go get some dumbells, a set of 5lbs, 10lbs, and 15lbs and look up arm workouts online. There are LOADS of different workouts you can do for you arms online, more than is necessary that only require dumbells and a chair. So pick three different bicep workouts. Then do the same for triceps. Find and pick three different ones that hit the muscle differently. Do these workouts a few times a week and you are set. I don't just advise arm workouts, I advise working out your whole body, but since you just mentioned arms, that's my two cents!
Triceps are key
French curls with household objects, sitting & prone face up on a bed
Hands on chair, move from sitting to butt hanging from hands & extended legs - behind the back push ups
Pull ups from a tree limb w/gloves & step stool
Biceps are secondary
Any weighty object, curl up from extended arm to chin
Pushups are really your best option especially since you don't have a gym. Why don't you want to do them? You may be able to buy free weights for cheap but you'll need to get a few different weights so that you can properly increase the weights once you build muscle/get used to one set. Boxing is good too but that can get expensive.
