Do you need health insurance in order to receive cosmetic surgery?

Health insurance won't cover plastic surgery because it is an elective surgery. The only way you can get it covered is to say that it is physically damaging to your quality of life, such as the people who get nose jobs for having a deviated septum.

The only way health insurance would pay for any cosmetic surgery would be if it was actually a medical reason as to why you are getting it or if you lucked out and got a crooked doctor. Other than that you have to pay for it on your own.

Majority of the time cosmetic surgery isn't covered under health insurance, such as nose job, face lifts, and basically any kind of other cosmetic surgery.

Ok. I could in fact pay for it. The fact that I don't have insurance may sway a doctor because of complications.

lets say your nose was broken. and you had a hard time breathing. depending on doctor, insurance would pay. but to just remove any scar...NO
