Due to medical conditions, can/should someone like me start dating?

The last relationship I had was a long distance relationship that lasted for almost two years, and a year into that relationship I was diagnosed with a liver condition. After she broke up with me I can't really figure out what I should do. (I am 22 years old right now btw)

My condition is basically summed up like this... some time between one year from now and 20 years from now I WILL need a liver transplant (most likely around 10 years from now), weather I get a liver or not is questionable. then there is the 15% chance I will die 5 years after the transplant because it didn't work out right, then there is a 25% chance I will die of gall bladder cancer within 35 years of the transplant.

I... don't really know if I should even try to date now, or how/when I would tell said date about my condition. I already have issues trying to talk with new people and making friends, and this just complicates things more when I imagine trying to get into a relationship.

Don't give up on dating at 22 because you have a condition ! You are 22, which is still young, and your condition does not mean you will die before the year is over. You can live your life as you want it, and date if you want to.

It sounds really weird to me to stop dating because you might have an important surgery in 10 years. If you think about it, we could all stop dating because we might die in the next weeks or so. Nobody knows when they will die, and yet we try to live anyway ! Don't let it waste your life :)

You gave us some percentages, and if I got my maths right there are still chances that things will go alright :)

If you date someone now, by the time you need surgery he/she'll be here to support you through it, and such a support is always needed !

Now, I would suggest keeping that for yourself in the first dates, because on those dates you usually try to know each other. Your condition doesn't define you as a person, it has nothing to do with your personality or your qualities :) You can bring it up when an occasion presents itself later on, without putting too much of a burden on your partner's shoulders :)

Do NOT worry about it! That's not going to scare anyone great away. Find a girl you like and tell her when you are serious about her or falling for her and see where it goes. Those percentages are quite low, still, so don't worry, I am sure you will be good as new :) And with a pretty lady to take care of you! ;)

Just because you have a condition doesn't mean you aren not entitled to date. I know it seems you don't wanna put such a burden on a partner but if they really like you, it shouldn't get in the way. As for telling them I really don't know maybe after a couple of dates?

U don't have to if you don't want to unless your planning to get married they don't really need to know but if it makes you happy live life to the fullest b4 its too l8
