Girls do you care how much a guy can bench press?

A woman told me once that the only people who care how much a guy can bench press are the other guys in the gym. Is this true ladies?

Pretty much. That's something to brag to your buddies about and try to out-do each other. We generally don't care as much. I like a decently strong guy, yeah, but you don't need to quantify it for me, I don't care about numbers. I'm strong and have nice muscle in my biceps and shoulders because of what I do for work, but I couldn't tell you how much I can bench, because I don't use weights and don't really care.

Of course it's true lol. Unless the girl is an avid body builder herself, most girls couldn't care less what a guy lifts. (though watching him work out would be a plus : P lol)

women don't really care how much you bench its more of an ego thing for guys where you can out bench others

for the most part if you can bench 2 plates of 45 + the bar women will be impressed and think you are strong

now if you have 2x 25 plates then I suggest you workout a bit if you are bringing a girl with you :)

I agree. Any man worth his salt should be able to bench more than 100lbs at least a few times. Women may say they don't care about it when you specifically talk about benching but most women also like their men to not be complete weaklings.

I think almost anyone can 100lbs a few times deep blue. I was born with juvenille arthitis. And even though it hurts it can just barely crank out 135 like 2 or 3 times. So I'm sure just about anyone with healthy joints can. If not then yea. Girls might be turned off by that. But that seems rare.
