I thought this should have been over with in cold weather..now it is hot and I still get colds..
Why would I have a "COLD" in "HOT" weather?

A cold has nothing to do with "cold" weather. =) Colds are viral. They are mainly from rhinovirus and coronavirus. While historic folk lore thought they had something to do with cold weather, the reality is that has nothing to do with it. The only reason they were more common in cold weather was due to being confined inside for long periods of time with other people that spread the virus. Every year there seems to be a wave of summer colds and winter colds.
Its name confuses ppl. It has nothing to do with cold weather. It has to do with your immune system lowering and allowing germs to take over. This can happen due to lack of sleep, sudden change in weather hot or cold. Take vitamin c which helps strengthen your immune system.
I have gotten strep throat every month for the past 4yrs I'm finally getting my tonsils out next month and I'm sick now, some people have sickness worse than others
damn. :(
yeah I feel horrible all the time, I like my job but I find it hard to get through work :/
I have one too, you're not alone!
But its because whoever came up with the name "cold" was completely misinforming. Germs and a weak immune system cause them.

A cold is a virus and has nothing to do with temperature, so it could be freezing and you could be butt naked and not get a cold, or it could be a heatwave and you can't stop sniffling
Germs are everywhere all the time. ?_?
Last year on my birthday (late July) I had some form of laryngitis and I couldn't talk right. You can get sick no matter the weather my friend :P
There are still germs when it's warm out.
But I thought hot germs aren't like cold germs...
Lol!
Because your immune system sucks.
Swim naked in an ice-cold water, and then are 2 possible outcomes:
-you will die
or
-your immune system will be reinforced
Because germs cause colds, not weather. :)
Oh I thought she meant "cold" as in an illness.
Oh, sorry I'm on a conference call.

You might be right about that.
What does one have to do with the other
