short answer: absolutely! that is, if you stick to it. you'll lose the first few pounds faster than you think, but then your metabolism will start to adjust and you'll have to push a little harder through the rest. don't get bummed out when the weight loss starts slowing. after-all, some of that weight will include muscle GAINS. and the fact that your mom is along for the ride holds you accountable to somebody, which is great! when you start feeling more comfortable, the sky is the limit. you can start on plyometrics and muscle confusion once you start to plateau. at that point you'd want to actually increase your caloric intake so you don't lose muscle mass. sounds like you're off to a great start.

Make sure to add a cheat day every ones in a while to cheat your body to not go to a "starvation mode". What the cheat day means is eating a bit more and something with fat, sugar, salt etc (maybe a little pizza) and your eating about the same calorie amount you would normally eat. This brings up your bodies fat burning hormones so you can keep up the pace.
Otherwise sounds good, just keep it up!
Yes you would. Everyone's body is different and responds differently to exercise, but if you really stick to this routine, you will defiantly become healthier (GOOD FOR YOU :D) just make sure you have variety with the weights and don't just sit around at home once you are done.
GOOD LUCK :D
Yeah, you will lose weight slowly but surely (: just stick with it!

Yes you will lose weight with that routine. Don't go lower than 1200 cals. If you stick to it -- no cheating--then I would not be surprised to see you lose 20 pounds over the summer. Think of it this way -- 2 pounds per week for 10 weeks. You won't lose it quite that consistently but you will get there.
You will lose weight if you stick to it.
And I applaud you for not being obsessed with being thin. You are going to be a very sexy lady if you are consistent with your plan and resist the temptation to cheat.
