Will I lose weight/fat?

So I have finally decided a workout regime for me. I am about 150 pounds, 5'1-ish, and want to get in shape. I'm not looking to be thin, just strong and healthy. I will be eating 1200 calories a day. For exercise, I will walk 3 miles to the YMCA, do a weight lifting system for about 45 minutes, and then walk back those 3 miles home. I'm also doing this with my mom so she can get in shape with me. Would I lose a good amount of weight and how fast would the weight go?
Will I lose weight/fat?
