eating well is important and you seem to be doing that. I give you full marks on your eating.
the one thing I would improve on is working out for a bit longer. as someone stated earlier doing 10 min of running exercise will only burn 100 something calories. this is true.
however when you work out to lose weight, don't think about the calories you burn on the spot. instead think about increasing your metabolism.
now I love the fact that you are doing both cardio and toning muscles. this combination is perfect for losing weight.
however! 10 min is simply not enough. this is only enough time to warm you up, and not enough time to actually raise your metabolism.
increase your cardio time to 30 min for now. a 5 min warm up then 20 min of a good pace then another 5 min cool down.
eventually you will move up to longer times and more intensely.
i started out relatively slowly at 30 min and now am comfortable with an hour and a half at a good pace.
also, weather permitting. go outside for light jogs, plan your route beforehand and get out there and explore your neighbourhood. if you can't maintain jogging for the duration then walk it out a bit before you can continue.
there are many pros to going outside.
1. its more stimulating, it sucks to run and stare at the same piece of wall forever.
you see more interesting people,(oh and people will see you too, and trust me from looking at your pictures I don't think anyone is going to mind ;) )
you see more interesting things such as nature, art, events, interesting shops etc.
2. once you start a route, there's a huge amount of inner pressure to finish that loop. it is a very attainable goal and in my mind, a distance is a lot easier to deal with mentally then a timer. timers are death!
3. once you start going outside and exploring you'll want to start exploring other places farther and farther. this will increase your times and distract you from the fact you are shredding muscles.
there is one con and it is joint pain from running on pavement.
i had this problem and it sucks. this is why I prefer cycling now, (also a really good way to lose weight)
anyway good luck

try eating healthy foods and eat in portion like eating only to fix your hunger. this does not mean that you can eat 10 little snacks all day. try to get your body used to taking in food and turning it into energy instead of storing it. be thinking about what you are eating at all times of day. eat organic ( our bodies were not designed to eat chemicals)
exercise consistantly and do all around workouts (not just arms because that can cause injury to other parts of the body) try to run for more like 20 minutes and once you get that then try for 30 minutes. don't push yourself to hard but don't be to easy on yourself. remember to breath deeply through everything
drinking water is good but don't drink to much or else you can flush your body of electrolites and you can pass out, and that's no fun. it may seem hard but if you just keep trying you will see results and you will easily be able to 10 pounds and more... this is not a quick fix to loose a little weight. it is a lifestyle change and it can get you in amazing shape
theres a really good website that people use for losing weight or just building healthy diet and lifestyle even if you don't need to lose weight. I suggest you check it out. its called sparkpeople. you register, put in your weight, it tells you if you are overweight, obese, or normal. then you put in your goal weight, and either set your own goal date or have them recommend one. Then you can track what you eat, your exercise, etc. You can put in your own foods or use the weekly meal plans they recommend for you. You can adjust the meals and choose substitutions for certain items. you can choose another meal for like lunch if you don't like what they have written on any given day, etc. it tracks your calories, protein, fats, and carbs. (You can choose to add other nutrients to track) and tells you what the range is of each that you should be eating every day, so you know not to go over or under. at the end of each day you can see percentages of where your calories are coming from and what is recommended. For example, if your days worth of calorie intake has a higher than recommended amount of carbs as a source. they have message boards and all that jazz. You can print out a grocery list for all the food you'll need for that week, etc. Its all free, that's the amazing part.
Or you can do this your own way, I don't know just sharing what I do know. you probably won't need all that if all you want to lose is 10 pounds, but its worth checking out. good luck. :)
What will make you lose weight is to each smaller portions and let you feel hunger sometimes. You'll get used to this feeling, actually you HAVE TO GET USED TO THAT, and if you really want to be slim - you must eat only to kill the hunger and only the portions you've planned.
And don't listen to those who say - 5 small meals a day (even if you're not hungry), bla bla bla. Yeah. I've lost weight only when I started to each half portions, three times a day. for ex. 500 kcal breakfast, 400 kcal dinner (not more, and you prepare it yourself - it must be healthy), 300 kcal - other things I put in my mouth (yes, you count everything) like coffee (with milk), tea (with sugar), apple in th evening, a piece of other fruit. Don't stick to any diet - just eat less and eat everything you want (except fast foods - mc donalds, indian fast food etc.) and sweets (including home made cakes). Just forget about sweets.
As for the training - 10 minutes is not enough. Try bike, 30-40 minutes. Or you can start with 10 minutes on treadmill, then 10 minutes bike, 10 min. something else and 10 minutes - treadmill again. 3 stes of arm exercises? I do 3 sets of 4 different arm exercises. Plus many other exercises (it takes me one hour to do them all).
wish you luck...

After reading the answers, you've gotten very solid answers imo. I honestly can't think of much to add, & I know a strong amount of info about health & nutrition.
But I'll add a few things anyway. :)
What I will want to stress to you is...the focus should be long term, not short term. As in your focus should be "a healthy lifestyle in which you can enjoy life", rather than "lose X lbs by X day or for X event". Focus on a lifestyle change...long term change is the best for good health. :)
I only say that because your diet is very strict. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you can live that way after the weight is lost. A lot of people in your shoes eat strict, exercise on a strict schedule, lose the weight...then revert to their previous habits of diet & exercise, & regain the weight. Why does this happen? Because being too strict causes burnout.
My point? Makes your changes are for life (it might be scary thinking that long-term lol), & not "just to lose weight". You'll live longer, sleep better, improve your mood, be more mentally sharp, get sick less often, & have more energy for EVERYTHING.
Sound good? :)well,im guessing you are eating very clean from what you are saying, watching calories,6 meals a day etc. However, you work out doesn't seem to be much of anything. If you're not perspiring when you are working out,the you are not working out. 10 min of cardio doesn't seem like much of anything. I would say,Up the cardio to 40 min of actual running...breaking a sweat. Alternate days, some days cardio, others reps. Good that you are doing arm excercises but what about the rest of your body? Try to get on machined that help with reps for other areas. Reps with low weights help burn fat.
Try tracking your calorie intake using Livestrong.com or something similar. You need to strictly control your calorie intake if you want to lose weight.
Most people who exercise then have a snack afterward (because they are hungry and/or think they deserve it!) and end up eating more calories that then just burned, so don't lose weight even though they are exercising.
I maintain you need to control your calorie intake first. If you want to exercise, that is fine. But you are better off doing something you can do for a long time, like 2 or 3 hours of gardening, which burns lots of calories. Livestrong.com will help you figure out how much that kind of activity burns. Good luck!
P.S. Some people believe that a low carb diet works particularly well to help lose weight. Combining low carb (and by that I mean getting rid of almost all sugar from your diet) is probably a good idea. Your mileage may vary of course!exercise will help but diet will help the most. cut out the carbs. eat protein (protein being any kind of dead animal meat including eggs.) your brain can only use glucose (carbs) as a source of energy. if there are no carbs, your body will develop ketone bodies which break down the fat and turn it into glucose. that's how low carb diets work. they're hard though. you'll get carb cravings probably something close to what a drug addict goes through. on the plus side you can eat all the protein you want. just go low cards for a week or 10 days or whatever then normal diet with carbs. cycle it. do more research on the interweb because I'm not a doctor but low carbs worked well for me.
yes you can, try to incorporate more exercises though because that will not do much for your entire body, try exercises that burn calories all around, squats are one of them. Try going for more time on the treadmill too as you go on. But remember that you have to be consistent :)
diet is good.
kill the 10 minutes of treadmill and arm exercises. I'd suggest burpees instead. Use same time span, do 5 2 minute sets of burpees, aim for max reps.
Or get off the treadmill and do wind sprints. 10 minutes of steady cardio is not really enough to get much benefit. Arm exercises in isolation will not burn much fat.sorry to break it to you but you are overweight by official BMI standards link however you can fix that
get on a calorie deficit while lifting some weights and hitting the cardio, cut out soda and sugary treats and you should see resultsYou should calculate how many calories you need daily in order to maintain your current weight, and then eat 500 calories less than that. You can find the exact numbers online. If you don't eat less than what you need, you will not lose weight, no matter how healthy the food you're eating may be.
Exercises don't help as much as people think. For example - running for 10 min at 7mph burns only 130 calories.lol, 10 min and 3 arm exercises is nothing, you need to do more if you want to lose weight
yes yes and yes you need to do more work out. , say b byee to fish and chicken and junk food.
Good luckIf your pics are current why would you want to even lose a pound? If it ain't broke - don't fix it!
YES! that's great to start out with, but as you get "better" you might wanna run on that treadmill a little longer. You should probably add minutes as time passes and your doing this at the right time to! right before summer
Why would a hot stuff like you want to get thinner
you look pretty sexy if you ask me
