So I wonder where these healthy individuals are.
Do you think most are healthy?
No, most of them are unhealthy. The vast, vast, vast majority of overweight people are overweight because of poor diet and lack of exercise. They don't want to take responsibility for their health or their appearance so they blame their obesity on "genetics" or vague and completely undiagnosed "thyroid problems" instead of their own lifestyle choices. The truth is that obesity-causing medical conditions like hypothyroidism are very rare and only account for a tiny fraction of obese people.
I have a female friend like this. She's about 40 pounds overweight and constantly blames her inability to lose the weight on external factors. Meanwhile, every time we go to a restaurant together she's ordering fried food, a side dish, and dessert. And she considers anything over a mile to be "driving distance".
Some people just don't get it.
They're all unhealthy. While they're young it may not be obvious clinically, but all of them are heading for trouble when they're just a little older.
All this talk is kidding themselves, the overweight people are champions at deceiving themselves. They'll just get angry if you point this out, though.
Not most, no. But some are.
I gained a lot of weight shortly before I hit puberty, and then the hormones didn't help. I became really depressed around that time and while trying to stop the self harm, I started to rely on food. So long story short, I became what you, and most people, probably consider fat.
Within the last two years, I've changed everything. I rarely eat or drink sugar, I make about 80% of my food from scratch, cut out gluten, started to drink more water, etc. My diet is healthy, and I walk almost everywhere. I went down three dress sizes and lost several inches around my waist, but I'm still a larger girl. My metabolism is slow and I'm working on that.
Nobody has to believe it, but I am quite healthy.
Extra weight is hard on your heart. Period. Did the comments specify if the women were overweight/fat or just average? Because when you spoke of the comments, you didn't mention if the comment-makers were overweight.. if they "swear they're in shape" wouldn't that mean theyre at a healthy weight?. Like I consider myself fit/average (aka I wouldn't call myself "thin" by any stretch) and I am definitely healthier than many "thin" girls I know.
Sorry, I should have specified. The women DO admit to being overweight or obese, but make these claims
Okay ya - it's all BS. Unless it's someone with a legit thyroid condition or something (and even then, carrying extra weight is still unhealthy unfortunately) .. I seriously doubt they're eating healthy and running marathons though... fat doesn't magically appear after all.. it takes 3500 EXTRA calories to gain one pound of fat. That had to come from somewhere!

I have an actual medically diagnosed condition that makes losing weight nearly impossible, but I do try. I'm not gonna lie and say I eat healthy all the time but I do try most of the time and to control portions. I also hit up the gym around 4 times a week for 40 min of exercise. Even with this it took me a month to lose 2 lbs. I do make a lot more healthier choices than my skinny friends that live of of Mcd's and never work out though.
No, I don't. I date a lot of women who have curves because I find that appealing. But it's very very rare that any of them are what I'd call healthy. In an ideal world, I'd like a girl who has good appetite, never has to count her calories, but can still go biking or walking and keep up with me.
No. They're overweight because they don't exercise, and until they exercise they won't realize how unfit they are. Plus there are all the invisible health problems that they don't even know they have, until they just drop dead one day, from a heart attack or whatever.
Yeh I see comments like that, and think no way in hell do they eat healthy, and do all the exercises, and be fat, But I also think just because you are thin it doesn't mean you are in shape and healthy.
Very few are.
Same is true for all the 5'9 225 lb guys who think they could stand to lose 20 lbs (cause the rest is muscle'. True for a few ... not many though.
id say most are unhealthy cause there are very few people that can't help but be big even though they exercise a lot so all the rest I would say are unhealthy
most are not healthy, but just because someone isn't overweight doesn't mean that person is healthy.
I definitely wouldn't say most are healthy.
not most.
