Is this woman interested in getting to know me?

Alright, I have been going to this Asian food joint for a while and I've noticed this very beautiful girl. Over the last few weeks, I've caught her looking at me and smiling and I just smiled back. At first I didn't think anything but recently, I think it has changed. one month ago I got back from a 2 week vacation and when I got back, I went to this place with a friend, I was greeted by the lady and she was grinning. My friend noticed it too. Whenever I go to this place now, she makes small talk, says hello and when I leave, makes sure to tell me to have a nice day. She's the restaurant manager I know but I think she goes the extra mile. The other day, she was picking up the newspapers from the tables and when she walked by my table, she dropped one on my table (I already was reading one). She came back, picked it up and initiated small talk. Even when she's on a break with coworkers, she waves or nods when we make eye contact. This past Monday though, things changed. She took my order and when I handed her my credit card, she looked at it and told me (fictive name) "John? Nice to meet you, my name is Jane." Then she asked me why I looked so tired, told her I pulled an all-nighter. When I told her that, she told me "well, if you had fun..." and I told her that I had worked. Was she fishing as to know if I had been with a woman? I don't know. I told her I had drank coffee late that night and that it kept me up, which is what happened.

Then, 2 days later, I go back (the joint is really close to my place and since I work long hours, I don't cook much, no reason not to go hehe). I order my stuff and she does her stuff around the restaurant and when I leave, I try to ignore her, see if she's going to initiate small talk again. This time she calls me "Hello John, how are you? Have you gotten some sleep?" I turned around, she was smiling and looking me in the eyes and I just replied, using her name, it lasted a few seconds, I said "bye" and walked out.

Now, I really don't know what to make of this. Besides having the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, she seems really nice, outgoing, funny and witty. I like her looks and what I know of her personality. I don't want to come off as having a crush on her but would like to get to know her, like go out, not necessarily on a date but just hang out.

Since I am no Appollo, I doubt she talks to me because she thinks I'm good looking, there has to be something more since I haven't seen her do that with any other customer.

Now, why I am here is because since the only place I get to see her, is at her workplace, I haven't made a move because I wouldn't want to alienate her, I like to go eat there, food's great but I like to talk to her too.

Anyone has a thought on this? Should I invite her to a drink or just let it go?

Well, looks like I was right. She gave me her phone number today. We made small talk and it was fun. She also made a point telling me she was going to quit her job and that the "no dating customers" rule didn't really matter now :)

I'd say...invite her out for a drink! What's to lose? She says no...and you're right where you are now except you know where she stands. Since she works in the restaurant, it's hard to tell if she like-likes you or if she's "doing her job." But, as a woman, I'd have to say, that's how I'd handle the situation if I were interested in a man. But...it is hard to say, unless you ask!
