Need answers before morning so I know what I'm shopping for!

im so new to dieting and eating healthy! I've decided to cut out carbs from my diet, that is pretty much all the white food - rice, bread, potatoes etc... As well as fatty/junk foods .. All the yummy stuff lol! I was going to focus on eating salads, fruits, veggies, meats, eggS, tuna as part of my meals. I have seen online though that low carb diet plan day I should avoid food? That's not something I want to do! But I need to lose about 5-8 kilos by jan. so will that jeopardize my work?

Also I am going to be going to the gym everyday for 2 hours - lots of cardio, running ... AND also, any further tips to help me get going? ::) thanks!
