Maybe some will work for some people but I do not believe they are a permanent solution and add the countless side effects... that's a personal decision on whether you want to take the risk or not.
I think being healthy is a complete lifestyle change and that's why many "diets" fail. But this is just my opinion. I think its important to stay active and have some self control to have correct portion sizes more than worrying about what exactly you're eating. Of course you want to be balanced and not only eat junk food but if you're active and not over eating that alone makes a big difference.

They are unhealthy. You should never even suggest taking them.
Workout and eat right instead. I do and I look amazing :)
"Diet pills" are not the pill form of diets. They are often medications that are being misused in order to attack fat. Think taking Viagra ( A heart med ) for erectile problems. Some are addictive. Many have side-effects that are worse than just being fat. Quite a few are not medically endorsed. Quite a few are not backed by the FDA.
In reality if you require dietary medication you should get it from a doctor, but most people don't, and most people never will. Taking it without necessity is very dangerous as with any chemical for no reason.
The only one that actually got results and that I liked was Hydroxicut (misspelled). I used the caffine version and it helped shed an extra couple of pounds. However, if you can't handle caffine that well, it is bad for you.

Diet pills are not safe. There has not been one produced yet that is effective AND doesn't have harmful side effects. I think if you want to lose weight but aren't willing to do it the proper way (nutrition & exercise), or patient enough to accept that the results you want to see are going to take a pretty decently long while and not happen overnight, then you're better off staying the way you are until you DO reach that level of maturity about the situation.
I don't believe a pill can make you lose weight. There wouldn't be an obesity problem in the US if there was something that magical
you can't be on them your whole life, you'll build tolerance... eventually you'll have to do it nature's way... diet and exercise.
yes, my cousin did but they are really tricky
I would stay away from them
