Petite girls are the best! Honestly, if you're eating regular meals a day until you're full, it's fine. You might not eat a lot because you're tiny, but that's because you physically don't need much food. If you're not starving yourself, you're good. Just make sure you eat lots of fruits and veggies. With such small amounts of food you're taking in, you run the risk of not getting the proper vitamin intake. Alternatively you may take a vitamin supplement, but I'm not a fan of pills. They serve their purpose in some people so think about taking a multivitamin a day.

You're maybe 5 pounds underweight so you're not in terrible shape.
If feeling full is a problem you have to make your calories more dense. Add more cream or butters. Use more oils like olive oil and coconut oil.
If that seems like too much of an adjustment, the easiest way to gain weight would be to consume a high calorie milkshake every day. Go with 25% heavy cream and 75% whole milk for the liquid content (which should be at least 16oz). Then add a scoop of protein powder. That shake alone can surpass 500 calories yet it goes down easy.
As long as you aren't anorexic then you're fine. If your ribs show then that's more than likely an unhealthy sign. I'm 5'5" and only weigh about 112 and I have the hardest time gaining weight. So, I'm pretty skinny as well but none of my bones poke out or anything. It's hard to judge you without a picture but simply based on the information you gave, for your height, I think you're okay.
Your BMI is a bit low, but given your age I still think you're healthy.
You're a bit short, which is why you're not heavy, but I don't see anything wrong with that. You're simply petite :) If you had 10 or 15 pounds less, you would definitively need to eat more.
For your height and age, I think your weight is fine :)

If you eat what your body asks you, you're definitely the size you need to be. There's no such thing as "normal weight for my height", the BMI is a statistic, and it applies to populations not to individuals. Everybody is different. If you feel alright and your blood tests come out alright, then you don't need to force yourself to eat anything you don't want to.
The same way some people are really fat naturally, some people are really skinny naturally. If you're not eating enough or you're not getting the nutrients your body needs, your body will tell you (you'll feel constantly tired, you won't be capable of normal physical activity, anemia and so on).You are probably just fine. You are naturally very petite and have a high metabolism. That's fine, just make sure you are eating QUALITY food (as little pre-packaged crap as possible), and don't go hungry.
Sadly, your metabolism will eventually slow down some as you get older (mid-20s or later), and you'll probably tend to gain weight more easily, so it's good that you aren't used to overeating. That will serve you well later on.Your OK, your just small, but regards to your diet, while you eat, start having a meal replacement milk shake with your meal, this will help your appetite grow and help you get all the proteins your body needs, and no, you won't get fat either.x
Its probably okay, but you'd want to make sure your weight if anything trends up not down?
My daughter is 4' taller then you and about 10 lbs lighter ... but she still has a little kid's build.
What do you eat in a typical day?Don't worry girl. I was also skinny like you when I was your age but was healthy (my ribs did not show and I never dieted ) but I grew out of it. Now I am a petite girl with a figure that girls praise :). BTW now I'm 5'2" and 110 pounds !So there is a chance that you will gain weight with age.
It's not bad if that is how your body is built you are probably healthy if your doctor says that there is nothing wrong then your perfect
You're just small. Don't try to gain weight by force-feeding yourself! You are at a normal weight for that height.
Being really skinny is only bad if it's way out of the weight range for a particular height.
At 4'9 that doesn't sound too bad.I'm 4'10 and 84 pounds, 19 years old.
my doctor said I'm fine for my height
I have the same issue, I eat like a man but I can't even gain a single pound. You do sound petite but if you are honestly not anorexic and your ribs do not show in the mirror, you are all right. My lover was 5'2" and 96 pounds when I met her and she wa OK.
Just keep eating normal and try not to think about being skinny too much.
If you love yourself, other people will love you. You're fine as long as your doctor says you're healthy.
Provided you don't look or feel unhealthy, so be it.
it's better than being obese and unhealthy.Well of course girl You would look like some one in a Starving African village!
Drink protein shakes and when you're 180 you're going to wish you were still 80 pounds lmao!
Yes, being really skinny is bad for your health
80 pounds at 4'9 sounds like a good build
